We all, at some phase of our lives, experience the death of a friend or loved one. In fact, more than just one. And each one death detracts from our happiness to a degree. But have you ever experienced a death that affected you more than it would seem it

Meditations Over a Beer Bottle

It's funny what topics can prove the most interesting. I was introduced to a possible topic about which to write. I read it and I was most definitely not impressed. How do the droplets on a beer bottle appear and what physical laws govern their behavior..

School: Don't Believe Everything You Hear

"Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear." Granted, those words represent an exaggeration. Still, we shouldn't accept everything we hear. And that includes everything we're taught in school. Some of it is bound to be wrong. This is historic

What Do You Say? A Fee for Irritating the Consumer?

Each of us needs medical care. Some more than others. Now medical care does not come cheap. So if we can afford it, we usually go with insurance packages to lessen the blow. But times aren't good. Businesses and governments are looking for ways (whether g

Is it Intelligence or Is It Memory?

Humans have a way of generalizing. Perhaps it's because generalizing is easy. Thus a problem, in the mind of many, may have a simple solution, whereas in reality it may not be all that black-and-white. But what we want to discuss here is generalizing that

Boxelder Tree Maple Syrup!

With leaves resembling poison ivy, the boxelder tree, native in Virginia, is seldom identified. Yet, it can be used to produce a form of maple syrup. How can I say it is a form of maple syrup? Because boxelder is a variety of maple tree. To see some photo

When is a Death a Tragedy?

"It was so tragic. She was so young. Cutoff before she experienced life." "He was a strapping young man when he died. He was going to get married. He never got to experience the joy of having a family." Have you ever heard words such as these? Indeed, ha

Nature -vs- Nurture: The Length and Quality of Our Life

I have a friend who is 81 and owns 3 airplanes. He skis, he rides a motorcycle, he rebuilds cars and their engines, he jogs. He is a machinist, still working. He is thin and energetic. Other persons I've known are thin, young, and exercise regularly. Yet

Can Lifeless Chemicals Produce Life?

You tell me. Can lifeless chemicals produce life, or does life come from life? And if life comes from life, what does this tell you as to the origin of life? Do you remember when you went to school, you learned that Louis Pasteur disproved "spontaneous ge

Middle Twentieth Century British Mystery Flicks

Even if you're not as old as Methuselah and you don't watch all that much television, I recommend you try 1950s B&W British mystery films. American films tend to be a lot of glitz, noise, and action. A lot of fluff and little diversion. British films

Good day to you

May 27, 2017, 11:18 PM

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095
