Are Paid Tweets Spam?

Do you receive statements to your email account saying So-and-So tweeted? Of course, these are intended to act as suggestions you read that particular tweet. While we might call this "promotion", is it not also paying to have spams sent to the people? Is t

Romancing the African Violet

A newly discovered friend learned I have a measure of expertise in cultivating (and enjoying!) African Violets. In fact, I've grown hundreds of them. So my friend wanted to know about her violets. On talking with her, I learned she suffers from "all of th

Ad Blocker or No Ad Blocker - THAT is the Question

I write. I depend upon ads for a small (shall we say) pecuniary emolument. That emolument is provided by advertising. I get paid for "valid" (whatever that is) advertisement visitations. So I don't like ad blockers on that account. For the longest time, I

A Name is a Funny Thing - You Can Learn A Lot from a Name

Over the years, I've come to realize the value of a name. We are frequently identified by a number. A name is personal, at least to a degree. To a degree, I say, because, to illustrate, how many Bills are there in a country, a state, even just a town? You

Incident While Purchasing a Sympathy Card

Well my wife informed me someone she knew lost his mother the other day and she wanted to show the fellow and his father that she was sorry by giving them a home baked pumpkin pie and a cobbler. Included with those things was to be a sympathy card. So she

Have You Noticed Ever Decreasing Website Ranks?

Most curious, indeed! Website rankings. They seem illogical, to say the least. I've been taking note of various web site rankings. And they just don't make ordinary sense. If you receive more visitations to your site -- if more people are reading your ma

What's Happening to the Giblets?

The current generation leads a busy life! Many women no longer remain at home, but have busy secular wives. While most meals are undoubtedly prepared by these busy women, they've learned to cut corners, in order to save time. Sadly, yet realistically, thi

Take an Old Cat to the Vet? It Can Make a Huge Difference...

Most people love their pets fiercely. No, not all. But most. The longer we have them, the deeper our love for them becomes. We have an old cat named Hermione that had to come with us when we walk our dog. She was more loyal to our dog than she was to us.

Anyone Have the Courage to Return to Black and White?

Doubtless most who watch television or movies on TV have at least encountered black-and-white presentations. Older TV shows and so-called old movies (most well under 100 years old) were not filmed in color. And a generation enjoyed such presentations. It

Weird! Does Grafted Skin Retain Some of Its Original Nature?

A friend told a small group of us something very peculiar, indeed. He said his wife had been hurt badly in an accident on the one side of her face, particularly around her eye. Surgery was performed, using skin taken from her neck. The graft healed well,

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

My user name is MegL. Is that the problem?

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.

I can't remove a former comment I made. But in any case I appreciate you for following me. It means a lot to me.

I have got a Hubpage account, so I guess I'd better get busy using that! I keep an eye on your 'Quirky Science' pages.
