Death

I'm getting old. I'm slipping. Friends of mine are going through the same thing. Yet, others, it seems numbers of them, are undergoing worse. Within the fraction of a month, I've lost dear friends and acquaintances: Danny Collins, Lester Campbell, Walte

Decoded Science Says Goodbye

It had much potential. Decoded Science. The "working conditions" were excellent, and it was one of the few paying sites. And they were interested in the quality of the writers and each article offered. Articles were to be written with expertise and solid r

A Borderline Legal Call in Behalf of the Police

Ever had a "that was great!" moment? I had one this morning. Every so often I get what I think of as a scam phone call. Certainly it should be classified as one. Yet it is "legal". This deep-throated, authoritative voice answers my "Hello" with, Is this

TV and Movie Phoney Music Playing Scenes Drive Me Crazy!

You've seen them. Scenes in movies and TV shows in which a musical instrument is being played: perhaps a piano, maybe a saxophone, or even a guitar. What's wrong with that? Well producers and/or directors seem to think it's easier to train an actor to "pl

What is a "Bark Inspector"?

Have you ever heard of the occupational title, "Bark Inspector"? I had not. Not until perhaps a dozen years ago, that is. I found out that one of my 3X-Greatgrandfather's Governor-appointed (Pennsylvania) was assigned that job description. Does this mean

Fun and Games: A Foreign Name and an Old Man

I live on a decidedly fixed (aka castrated) income. So I have to be careful of how I spend what little I have. So I needed a dress coat. Not a suit. A coat. So I look online. Now I wear 54 Portly. In other words, if you figure the value of a jacket on the

A Media "Duh" Moment in the News

When life comes at you fast and furious, you can act befuddled. This can happen to anyone. Well the other day, a logging accident happened in our county that produced tragic results. News media "hop" on accidents, attempting to be the first to release som

My FAVORITE Day of the Year - March 1st

Ah, when I was young. I loved each of the four seasons. I loved Spring because of the beautiful, long days, the breezes, the freshness of the Spring air. I enjoyed Summer, because I didn't have to wear a jacket or a sweater and I could wear short sleeves

Out of the Mouth of Babes - My Grandson

Before I begin, let me point out the original usage of those words... Although Jesus quoted them to the hypocritical religious leaders of his day, the words were taken from Psalm 8:2. Those hypocrites were denouncing the young ones at the cleansing of the

How Do You Choose New Recipes to Try?

How do you go about deciding what new recipes you will try? Probably some will choose a photo in a magazine. Certainly a photo provides instant appeal or repulsion, but does an image present an accurate portrayal of what a dish will taste like? Although c

Hey I see you have made your Facebook wall all about your website. Q S . That is a good way to let people know what you are all about. I like it. I had to send a friend request because I apparently have fallen off your radar lately. I hope you accept my friend request.

I respect you Vincent.

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095
