A Glimpse Into Life in Harris and Lewis

I was delighted, simply delighted, to watch a video concerning the building of a new building for worship on the Isle of Harris and Lewis, off the mainland of Scotland. I have to say that watching the video of the new building, and the people who inhabit i

Don't You Hate Store Upgrades?

Frankly, I get sick and tired of store upgrades. Why? For a number of reasons... Some of the upgrades are frivolous. The store layout is usually changed, so it takes longer to shop. The update is not for the customer's benefit. Stock is affected. So

Taking, Not One, but Two Cats to the Vet

Well today was the big day. Yours truly was appointed by the "Little Lady" to take our two cats to the vet's office. Both needed rabies vaccination and I was to buy flea medication for one. Well, the aforementioned person of the female persuasion is a wor

The Difference Between Professional and Expert

I'm always expounding about the poor word usage of people in general. Not that I expect perfection. "Lord knows" I'm far from perfect. And I pen my fair share of word errors. But some expressions particularly "get my goat".One of those goat getting utteran

One of My Favorite Trees: the Baobab Tree

There are many handsome --beautiful-- plants and animals in creation. Some are geometrically stunning. Proportioned perfectly. Others seem weird. Yet in their weirdness, there is a majestic quality not found in human substitutes. For me, it's the Baobab t

Your Phone Answering Machine - Don't Do This...

Well, there are so many phony telephone calls these days, I couldn't help but think of some messages I'd be tempted to put on an answering machine if I had one. But, well, really, don't do this. It's good for a laugh, but that's about all... 1. You've rea

Socks and Being Cool in School

When I was very young, I had, as probably almost all kids had, no choice in what I wore. Mom was the sole authority in the matter. Some of the things she chose for me I hated, though I'd love 'em now. Things like a camel's hair coat and hat. Now Mom was b

News Media Info: Too Little? Too Much? The Wrong Stuff?

"All the news that's fit to print." You've heard that statement. Sounds good, right? But then, so does "The customer's always right." Newspapers aren't what they used to be, but they are still a going concern, even if most are now read online. Being older

Vince You Super Genius You! A New Way to Paint Your Roof

I live in a rural county in Virginia. Believe it or not, some of the troublesome trees are trimmed in a most curious way... Well, we just took the gook out of our gutters. And our roof is in desperate need of painting. But we can't afford the task, and go

Today's Hollywood Drama at the Time of the School Bus!

Every school day, my wife gets our 3 grandchildren ready for the school bus. It arrives at about 7:15 to 7:20 promptly! The kids just love school so much they can't wait to rise in the morning. Achieving that, they quickly dress, eat, and are anxious to m

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

May 27, 2017, 11:18 PM

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095

I can't remove a former comment I made. But in any case I appreciate you for following me. It means a lot to me.

I have got a Hubpage account, so I guess I'd better get busy using that! I keep an eye on your 'Quirky Science' pages.
