Classic Childhood Cereals - Sneaky Advertising

As a child, I loved sugary cereals. But including the word sugar (as well as terms suggesting sugar, e.g. "honey") as part of the name of a cereal went out of vogue. They had to change their persona. So they started to say they were the tasty part of a he

That's Italian! Not...

Television and other media bombard Americans with propaganda concerning food. After all, isn't eating a famous American past time? There's all you can eat, there's steak houses, there's seafood, there's Mexican, there's Chinese. And there's Italian. Or so

Daring Men and Their Farting Jalopies

I was just peeking in a recent copy of a wastewater treatment plant journal that discusses 'biogas' being reclaimed from anaerobic digesters (of solid wastematter). Where this is collected, it is typically used to generate electricity to cut back a plant's

Weather Irony in Central Virginia

I live in Nelson County in Central Virginia. We are not far from the (Appalachian) mountains of West Virginia. In fact, we have some mountains ourselves. The range has interruptions of elevation so there are points that some storms not too high in elevatio

Our Garden Eggplant

Well I'm not able to grow much these days, so my wife and especially my son have taken it up. This year they planted peppers (OK), tomatoes (the usual flop, against my better advice), white squash (great), yellow crookneck squash (fine), cucumbers (surpris

The Antifungal Agent Used in Wipes

I am "into" chemicals that are iconic for the product, lately. I am also enamored by MS-Paint. So I combine the two in articles. Yesterday I wrote briefly (I call it a "QS Nugget") of the hypoallergenic anti-fungal agent in cosmetic wipes, iodopropynyl bu

Do You Like or Dislike Clowns?

I'm not talking about the sick-o clowns equally sick movie producers create. As you grew up, did you turn the volume up or change the channel when you would see a clown? Some people are spooked by even the tamest of clowns. That should come as no surpris

It Scared the Liver Out of Me

I waste entirely too much time. So I'm sitting in front of my computer watching an old episode of Matlock. Then, suddenly... KABOOM! It was the loudest explosion I've ever heard and scared the liver out of me. What blew up? Was it my battery backup for

King Crab - Overfished or What?

When I was young, I had, on occasion, some delectable King Crab legs. No... not Snow Crab. That's not bad, but it's not really in the same ballpark as King Crab. Recently, I inquired as to eating a little King Crab, since I haven't had any in decades - se

Me, My CPAP, and the Electricity Last Night Telling on Myself

OK. Maybe the following anecdotal material will never be a best-seller. Maybe it will even put you to sleep... Last night, I was downing a copy of Diagnosis Murder onto my PC. There, done! No sooner had it completed, I think within a second, perhaps two,

Hey I see you have made your Facebook wall all about your website. Q S . That is a good way to let people know what you are all about. I like it. I had to send a friend request because I apparently have fallen off your radar lately. I hope you accept my friend request.

I respect you Vincent.

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095
