I just finished watching the cartoon-movie Madagascar. I have three grandchildren and I like to preview what they will see. I don't always succeed, but I do try. I was entertained by this movie overall, and there were many exceptionally funny moments. For

What Do You Use in Your Coffee?

Well let's put aside the prospective comments of a few... 1. I don't drink coffee. 2. I'm a real (man/woman/whatever). I drink it black. Getting back to the question: what do you drink in your coffee? Some put skim-milk in it, some 2% milk, some whole m

Is Following the Ten Commandments Part of Christianity?

Have you ever heard the statement, "I try to live by the Ten Commandments and to be a good neighbor"? Quite possibly you have. In fact, if a poll of those professing Christianity as their religious affiliation was taken, I have little doubt at least 95% wo

I Should Have Followed My Own Advice

Well I like to think I'm not slower 'n molasses. But sometimes I wonder. Today I wanted to clean up a tiled stool that was painted on its vertical and under surfaces. So I grabbed a bottle of 70% rubbing alcohol (to kill anything that could be on it) and s

Do You Doodle? If So, Why?

I've got many habits in life. There are some I spend considerable time on. One habit I used to engage in, ever so many years ago, was doodling. I thought I was pretty good at it, so maybe you could call it cock-a-doodling. Sorry for that. I can't resist a

Is the Appendix a Vestigial Organ?

As a child, I was always told the appendix, that little organ associated with the intestinal tract, was an unimportant, essentially useless yet remaining "vestigial" organ. The so-called Intelligentsia are often quick to render judgements, unfortunately. It

Yuppie Cooking? My Take

Maybe I'm wrong in calling it yuppie cooking, but I'm seeing two trends in the so-called culinary world that I attribute to Yuppie-ism. They are the American version of Mexican food and Smoothies. Now I used to watch a TV show called Mexico - One Plate at

Cooking Show Polarization

There are many things I find unsuitable to watch on television. Cooking should not be one of them. But I'm experiencing a degree of distaste when it comes to cooking shows. It's because they are becoming ever more polarized. How so? More and more they appe

Oh Where Have You Been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy?

"Oh where have you been, Billy Boy, Billy Boy? Oh where have you been, charming Billy?" We might ask the same of the former writers at Persona Paper -- yes even those professing to still be active here. We profess to be interested in this site's revital

Mesothelioma - When What Seemed Good Might Have Been Bad

A close friend of my is a good 13 years older than I am, at about 82-83 years of age. Please don't imagine for a moment that he was feeble or, perhaps at best, holding his own. No. This fellow ran, rode a motorcycle, traveled the world, skied, flew a pla

Good day to you

May 27, 2017, 11:18 PM

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

My user name is MegL. Is that the problem?

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.

I can't remove a former comment I made. But in any case I appreciate you for following me. It means a lot to me.

I have got a Hubpage account, so I guess I'd better get busy using that! I keep an eye on your 'Quirky Science' pages.
