Monitoring the Times of "Gasoline Shortage"

Hm. A notion struck me this morning. Wouldn't it be nice if someone made a database of date/occasion of the year -vs- the price of gasoline? Don't make it Greek by using the barrel price of oil. Most people don't know how that translates into the real worl

My Best Friend in the Whole World!

We're raising 3 grandchildren (for the most part). One of them turns 5 shortly. We attended a gathering held some friends from our local congregation, and one of our nice young people, age 17, took him "under his wing." Jonas talked to the young guy until

Science was Fun in Ben Franklin's Day

I am a degreed chemist. I took post-degree, graduate level courses at the University of Virginia. I much enjoy science! But, to be honest, science was much more fun in earlier times. In the 1700s and early 1800s. Science lay in the hands of individual res

Do You Value the Bible?

There are many religions today. Quite a few of them claim to represent Christianity. The Bible provides the only real testimony of Christ's life on earth, and, for that matter, in the Heavens. But you say, I am Jewish, not Christian? Is there any other so

From Whom Do You Take Advice?

We all have to make decisions. Sometimes we want advice. Yet without realizing it, we may predetermine not to listen to some of the advice we will receive. Do you only listen to the advice you want to hear, or do you keep an open mind? It's so easy to acc

Chinese and Other Ethnic Food in the U.S.

So OK. I ask my friends, what kind of food do you like? They'll make remarks like: I like Mexican. I like Thai. I like Chinese. I like Indian. Well and good. But what do you think? At my job, we would have visiting scientists spend some time working w

Learn Something Every Day! Who Planted the Oak Trees?

Well, you learn something everyday. And I learned something today. I asked a question of those in the car I was in: Where do trees come from, from Heaven or from Earth? By Heaven, I meant the atmosphere. The reply was from Earth through the roots. The ans

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.
