Is Part of Your Diet a Hunter's Meat?

Prices are ridiculously high. It appeals to many to go hunting for meat. While hunters are aware hunting doesn't provide "free" meat, venison, turkey, bear and other game meats certainly are cheaper than store-bought beef, lamb, pork, and even chicken. Bu

Why I Felt a Kinship to the Rocket Boys of WV

One day I watched a movie that brought out strong emotions in me, a feeling of warmth and kinship, a wish I could have been part of something. It involved several boys, living in the 50s and 60s and the space race. The Rocket Boys. The movie? October Sky.

Early Summer Fruit - Red Raspberries

It was a hectic, difficult day for my family, including me. Yet, about 2:15 this afternoon, my son spotted wild and fresh, plump and ruby-red raspberries along the bank of a road we were traversing. We stopped, pulled out two plastic grocery bags we had i

Rats! Not Again...

My bending-over days are gone. So for certain tasks, I'm not much good. When my wife came across a dirty task, you'd hear her cry, "Vince, Vince!" So one of those tasks just came up that requires bending over. She uttered a different cry... "Ugh, Great. S

Society - The Human Farce

There is a word in English, "society". One definition for it refers to subsets of humankind, "clubs, or organizations formed for a particular purpose or activity". The root concept being members share something in common. The word "union" comes to mind, or

Morgan Woodward (16 Sep 1925 - 22 Feb 2019) AKA Shotgun Gibbs

Ask anyone who their favorite actor is. It probably won't take long to get an answer. It will probably be someone they've watched for years, perhaps from childhood. Well most people reach an adult age over 60. And their favorite actors were likely older t

I Saw an Unusual Animal - What Unusual Animal Have You Seen?

When I was 33, I moved from South Jersey to Virginia. A year later, I married. We moved to Nelson County, Virginia, and in the 1990s, we moved to the eastern side of the county. Like other families, we had laundry to wash. Some of it was large enough and o

Does Microwave Cooking Encourage Fat Women?

I categorize this as humor, since it is not to be taken TOO seriously. And, rest assured, it's not intended to be aimed as a weapon at fat women. Hey! I'm fat. Nevertheless, it is more than humor in that it is a kind of half-seriously held theory of mine.

A Real Jewel - Part Cowboy Part Detective - What the Hec?

I have internet. I'm not well-to-do. I hate almost all modern broadcasting. What do I do? I look for "old favorites" and search for new "old favorites". I struck pay dirt. I watched an episode or three of Have Gun - Will Travel, starring Richard Boone. I

Excitement Today: Rabbit Afoot!

Well, I heard an exciting cry from the kitchen this morning... "Vince, I need your help and I need it NOW!" My wife is the excitable type. So I knew she wasn't dying or badly injured. But there was a lot of commotion as if the dog was going crazy in the d

Hey I see you have made your Facebook wall all about your website. Q S . That is a good way to let people know what you are all about. I like it. I had to send a friend request because I apparently have fallen off your radar lately. I hope you accept my friend request.

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095
