Do You Share Posts on Social Media?

I was posting yesterday about how stopping to comment and taking the time to share other writers' work will benefit Persona Paper and help boost everyone's revenues here. So I'm curious about how many of my fellow writers are doing just that. So here's my question: are you sharing your own work on social media when you post? What about the posts you stop in to read? And if you are sharing, do you have one or two preferred networks, or do you tend to use a variety of networks to promote your writing and the works you read?

I dont promote anyones writing.

I actually just started a new group on facebook today because I've kind of limited my sharing in the past because I know several of my facebook friends are not online writers and they kind of get frustrated with all my "sharing" of posts. So I started the group page so I can share as much writing as I want (both mine and other writers).

Sorry folks, I forgot about the apostrophe thing. I hope you all can vote for the options that had apostrophes in them.

I try to stay away from groups for this sort of thing, because it can become a little too much like a clique or a link exchange. I have a Facebook "fan" page set up instead, but I really need to work on it. I had started it and never taken it public, but now I think I need to put some effort into it and get it "out there."

I actually do not share all of the things I write, but do share most. There are some things I do not need to advertise, though if someone happens in on it, I am find with that. I also post several others' works, primarily using Twitter.

I share only SOME of mine, not all and I do share some key ones by other people (more so if they are about pets or the environment) I use Twitter mostly but note that some sites do not seem to count twitter views.

I have to catch up with you at Twitter! I really need to work on my HootSuite setup so I can better filter the feed to keep up with my preferred writers. Right now it's totally flooded with news items and sponsored garbage I don't even want to see.

One issue I have with the Twitter share buttons is that the shares often don't count unless they are left exactly as is when the system generates the Tweet. Unfortunately, the links on most writing platforms are so long they make it difficult to retweet. I prefer to use a shortlink, but sometimes those shares don't get counted :(

I'm somewhere in between. I sometimes share my personal posts on my facebook because family and friends WOULD be interested, but I don't share a lot of my informational posts over there because they would NOT be interested.

I do share my informational posts on twitter when I remember.

I try to do roughly the same with my Facebook shares, Heather.

I find that I don't share to Facebook as often as I share with g+, pinterest and tumblr but I think that is because I am not sure that people are wanting to read those types of things.
