What's Your Online News Source?

A lot of us turn to the internet to get our daily news, and there are hundreds of websites to find the news on these days. All the big news stations have their own websites, and many times more than one. There are also lesser known non traditional websites where a lot of people go to learn about the days events. More and more people are starting to rely on social media networks to gather news about the world around them. And there are people who avoid regular news and opt to only go to specific news sites that cater to just one category. So this poll is about which of these kinds of websites you get your news from?

Have you ever noticed how they all cover the same news stories? That's because they all rely, to one degree or another, on the AP and Reuters. That's why you can go down the online feeds and see the cable/evening news stories before they air. My source is whatever is available to me when I have the time to look/watch/read. However, 'social media' is my last, thought-of source. More like cable news (not their websites), newspapers, local news, evening news, online news rotations. I'm not a news junkie; but, part of my job is to be aware of current events.

The BBC and Guardian websites. I rarely come in here these days, so that's out. Social media plays its part but I fall asleep reading the BBC site usually. Occasionally News Now but not very often. I have no interest at all in 'slebs' and their ridiculous behavior so TMZ and other entertainment sites are off my radar. And I find Huff Post to be a bit too red-top lightweight for me.

They say no news is good news and since I like good news I try to get no news. When I hear rumors of things happening I usually check the BBC website as none of the American news outlets are to be trusted to get anything right IMHO.

I didn't select an answer, because I get my online news from Yahoo.com . That is my homepage and I get all news and sports primarily from Yahoo.
