Do you do crafts with your children?

I have started doing a few with my son now that he is a bit older, but once he turns two or starts talking even more than he does now, I would like him to do more with me and then when my daughter is a certain age, where she understands things more, I would love for her to join. Growing up, we did crafts a lot, in every household I was in. My mom's, my biological father's, and my maternal grandparents, along with my paternal grandparents. It was just always really fun to do, even when I was upset. In fact, it helped me calm down quite a few times.

I craft with my son when he lets me. Hes not really INTO crafting but he does like to play with paint.

When I do a kid craft with him I post it on my blog Art Crafts and Coffee. Most recently we painted "fireworks" for our new year celebration. The paintbrush was actually an empty toilet paper roll tube.

I have tried constantly to do crafts with my 4 year old. He is just not interested, he would much rather play with lego and cars haha

That is awesome. I think I remember doing something like that with the empty toilet paper roll tube thingies in school.

Lol! My son loves cars, too, but he is only seventeen months almost. One of these days it will be Legos, I am sure.

My son is 5. He is a nintendo addict. I tell my husband he introduced the boy to video games WAY to soon. Nothing else stands a chance now.

I set my daughter up with craft things and she likes to get on with creating and then showing me what she has made, we do basic cooking together as well

That is awesome! I remember cooking with my grandma. It's such a special memory to me. I want to cook with my own children, too.
