When Did You Start Exercising Post Partum?

I had a baby girl seven weeks ago. Before that, I had my son August of 2013 so they are only fifteen months apart. That being said, I had a c-section with my daughter and they told me not to exercise for six weeks (same with my son who wasn't a c-section delivery). Well, I thought that it had been seven weeks and it would be okay, but it turns out that it wasn't. I don't want to go too into detail, but again, I learned the hard way that it wasn't okay just yet. I have a lot of energy stored up right now that I need to get things out with and I want to lose weight, but it didn't go well.

I think it was about 12 weeks for me. I had a difficult birth, so had to take it quite easy otherwise it would have been too risky.

I had a C Section with my Son and went back up the gym to do gentle exercise 3 weeks later.

Wow, really? They told me absolutely none!

Both of my labors were difficult, too, both children ended up in the NICU (for a very short time each - my son at a week and my daughter at three days and my son was full term, my daughter was 37 weeks + 3 days), but they still told me six weeks. I had preeclampsia with both and an abrupted placenta with my daughter. I am sorry to hear that your labor was also difficult. :( I am glad you followed your physicians advice, though. :)

I started when he was about a year! LOL. I know that sounds so weird but I was so tired all the time and he was colicky so I got very little sleep at night.
