Gas Prices

Isn't gas pricing driving you nuts!!! I was going crazy with gas prices going up, only now at least i'm going crazy with gas prices going down. The lowest price i saw was in Grenville, Quebec. It's not were i'm from, but quite close. I take advantage of the lower price and fill up. It's annoying to always be on the hunt for lower prices. I'm always on the road and clearly i need gas. What bothers me though, is why such a wide gap!!! For example, go to Montreal, Qc. and it's 20 cents more, go to Laval, Qc. sometimes it's 25 cents more. I say, WHY PEOPLE WHY!!!

YES, I think the prices will stay this low.

Here in the UK there are differences in petrol (gas) prices but they are geographic. The further north you go the more expensive it is and when you get to the Scottish islands - well, you need a bank loan to fill up a car!

I think it will go back up soon, especially during the holidays. elitecodex there is a racy ad on this poll. I have cleaned my cache and it's still showing up.

Ok, it is gone now that the page refreshed after my comment so I don't know what's going on.

I think the prices will go up as soon as people start travelling for the holidays. The prices fell to the lowest I think they've been since we moved to BC, but they never seem to stay down for very long....

Angel, the ads do change when you refresh. If you had already cleared your cache before the page loaded the first time, then it means you're still seeing inappropriate ads. If it's something different, you should screenshot it for Will.

I had cleaned the cache because I read his article not long ago. It is the same thing as before.

The average price where I am in Central Scotland is £1.25 per litre, but it can be as much as £1.45 further north or on the islands - sometimes more!

I don't pretend to understand a lot about economics, but from what I've read the current "low" prices were due to a temporary oil glut and barrels of oil were selling at something like $20 each below their usual prices. Since the prices have begun to edge up a bit, at least here in the States, I've read that investors are happier and it has had a good influence on the stock market.

Here in the States the prices of gas have dropped but I think the only reason is because mid term elections are coming up and the Democrats want to look good with prices down, so they can win seats so Obama is not a lame duck president in the later half of his term. I am betting it goes up right after the mid term elections. This is just my opinion.

Gas prices vary by locality due to local taxes. Here in North Carolina, we are blessed with fairly high state taxes, so it's not uncommon for people to jump the border into Virginia and South Carolina, which are much cheaper, for their gas.

Gas is getting so crazy expensive out here. I can't believe it. Glad it isn't as bad as it was in California.
