Introduction for gaylecrab

I am a pastor and blogger who has been writing online since 1996. My favorite topics to write about are travel experiences and reviews (although a few other topics may sneak in occasionally). In addition to travel, my hobbies include crafts and DIY projects. Currently, my husband and I are in the process of a DIY conversion van project. When complete, this 2006 Chevy Express will be a Class B RV. In July, we embarked on our first cross country road trip in the van and loved it! The idea is to hit the open road with the van as much as possible. I'd say that we're off to a good start! I am a bi-vocational pastor. This means that I have a full time job in addition to taking care of a church. The "job" is to direct a small nonprofit that helps women overcome domestic and sexual violence. The organization provides training and offers outreach services. My downtime at home usually means hanging out with my husband and playing with our dog. He's a service animal who has us trained pretty well. If you have any questions about life with a service animal or travel, just ask. I'll be happy to answer.

Look for airbags that go inside the front springs and inflate to 60 psi. to improve the front suspension load capacity. The van may already have them if it is an Express 3500. Fuel pump, distributor cap and tire failure are the three most common road faults on this vehicle. High current draw from the front blower motor will sometimes roast the front fan switch and wiring. Replace front blower motor and fan switch even though it's working.
