Field Lights

This is a very simple subject. It is a field light at one of our local parks. I took it while we were out taking our dog for a walk. We are hardly ever there when it's getting dark, but I'm glad we were that night. Although it isn't a special subject, it is one of my favorite photos of all time.

I love the look of the shot. The simplicity and solitude of the lights against the clean, crisp background is great. I also love the way the lights look and how the metal is different colors on different lights.

What do y'all think of this shot? Do you like it or do you think it is not interesting? Do you like more intricate photos or do you like simple shots? I'm curious as to what kind of photographs other people enjoy.

This shot is better when opened up (right click on pic - open in new tab) as it brings up the inside of the reflectors. You've done well not to burn out the lights.

I guess I should have posted it inside the article so it would be bigger. Thanks.

Not criticizing Angel...just letting others know a bigger image was available..

Yeah, I know. I just forget to do that and make the photos bigger when I'm only using one shot.

That's a neat picture. I've never been good at taking pictures of lights.

I like how my new camera takes the shots. The settings on it make things easier.

White on black almost always provides a great visual, whether it is natural or someone using black and white film. It provides a contrast that is stark yet not intrusive.

Yeah and it's nice when the black and white is from the natural elements and not from the camera.

I love that some of the lights are pointing in different directions, so you can see the varying degrees of light and the glow of the metal. It's very pretty, Angel :)

Thank you. I like that as well as how some of the pots look copper and some silver.
