I Find It Difficult to Unsubscribe from Political Newsletters

Awhile back, I used to write news commentary for another website and, in so doing, I had a need to be subscribed to a variety of those waste-of-time political blogs from various positions. I wanted to have story leads from the communist liberals just as much as I needed to stay informed on the goings-on of the conservatards.

Well, it's been awhile since I've written for these folks and I haven't needed the newsletters. So, I unsubscribed – or so I thought.

Perhaps I should've kept a database of how many times I've gone to the unsubscribe links of these sites but, I did not. What a shame, too. It would've made for some great visual aids. Still, while I don't have any exact numbers, it seems I keep unsubscribing but the newsletters keep coming anyway.

Either their systems aren't working or perhaps they're really just spammy scumbags pretending to be political but I really don't care. It's annoying.

I unsubscribe, they keep emailing. I unsubscribe, they keep emailing.

It's getting old.

I think I've got an experience that can top that. I was just about to write it up. Haven't decided on the title yet.

I know your post is about political sites; but I have that problem with internet marketing and blog marketing sites as well. They just won't stop. But I spam box it and at least on my primary google inbox I don't see the stuff anymore.

Unsubscribing from anything now seems to be a problem...It should be as easy as signing up but no...

New email addresses every so often are a low-cost solution to that madness.

The title can be the hardest part, can't it? That and the first line. :)

Sometimes, they come in, in spite of my marking them as spam. It's truly ridiculous.

I know. It's like thy see an unsubscribe and they're like, "Ooooohhhhh! A LIVE HUMAN!"

Not at this point. I use this email for too much. I have a better solution: Ripping those sites apart and pulling them off of the web.
