Expose your kids to culture

Today’s kids are absorbed by the latest trend. They seldom branch out into area that are the current thing or craze. They are glued to social media, modern music and television screens.

It is our responsibility as parents to expose them to other forms of music, art, and theater. When I was growing up my parents took me and my siblings to symphony concerts and similar events.

When my son was growing up we did the same with him, taking him to symphony concerts and Broadway shows.

My parents also took us to art galleries, and museums of all types.

I think as adults it is our responsibility to show our children what other forms of music, art, and museums are out there. It is easy in today’s world to attend cultural functions, and concerts. It is also easy to show our children history with all the recreated villages of earlier times.
