Rescued Sea Turtle

Well I was watching television this morning when I came across this show about a sea turtle. This turtle is huge. They estimated the average weight of it to be somewhere around two hundred and fifty pounds. That's a lot of turtle! Well it was discovered by a human rescue boat out in the sea searching for people after an oil rigg had blown up and caught on fire. When the call came across the line about someone seeing a turtle that was badly injured the Captain of the rescue boat didn't hesitate he went to help this sea turtle. This made me happy because he loves helping animals as well as humans. This guy seemed to really have a big heart for life of all kinds. Once they got to the sea turtle it took five of the crew members to load it on board the ship. This beautiful sea turtle weighed about two hundred and fifty pounds. They arrived at the rescue hospital and it was shortly discovered that the poor sea turtle had been attacked by a shark out at sea. They are usually able to fend off such attackers but due to the pollution of the oil rigg the sea turtle was just too sick.

After a few months of being doctored and taken care of at the rescue hospital this sea turtle had made a significant improvement. However it surffered too many injuries to be returned to the open sea. The shark had eaten parts of three of the sea turtle's swimming fins. So this made it where it would not be able to fend off such predator's at all. With this being the case it was decided that the sea turtle would be kept and allowed to live out it's life in one of the rescue sights down town. I was sad at first while watching this news because I thought the poor turtle would have to be put down. Once it was all over and it did get to live a nice life then I was so happy. Since "good" news is a rare thing in life anymore I was happy to hear and see this story.

I love sea turtles. They are such special creatures and I like hearing about the injured ones being rescued and nursed back to health.

I'm glad they were able to help the turtle. I've seen a few of them in aquariums, but none in the wild. They are beautiful.

It is good to have the campaign to protect endanger creature. If not, selfish people will just destroy everything without thinking much.
