soo annoyed with my laptop right now i could scream

right now im writing from my mobile because my stupid laptop refuses to switch on.

i was happily browsing in here when the internet turns off, tried switching it all on and off, again, then again then again. I tried to get it to work for a hour.

then i spent around 40 minutes on the phone to talk talk, near the end of that the internet sprung to life again so i thanked the advisor and then went back to browsing.

only to find that just fifteen minutes later it all goes off again, i keep getting error about my ip conflicting apparently i have the same ip address as another pc on the network. I don't understand that, i only have one laptop and isn't working with the wireless either.

i need help cant live without my laptop lol, looks like im gonna have to ring talk talk back up.

Have you tried turning your router off and on again, leave it off for a few minutes. this should reset things and should solve your conflicting ip address problem

I had a lot of problems with my TWC wi-fi until I made them give me a new router. I say "made" because they didn't want to. My Internet would cut off several times a day. Resetting the modem didn't always work and I would have to restart my laptop to get online. Since I got the new router, everything has been working fine.

$melody23 mstina , im soo annoyed i been fighting with it since 7pm, just used my nokia as a modem so i could use laptop, its not unlimited internet on my mobile plan so i dont like using it too much, just went on the talktalk website and now they have errors about the service being down where i am lol, when i spoke to them earlier they were all like, everythings fine it must be your laptop lol.

Time Warner Cable was trying to blame the problem on my laptop too. I lease my modem from them and I had it for two years before I traded it in.

demand some sort of compensation from them, perhaps a new router? depending on the problem you can claim the are in breech of their contract with you because they are not providing the service you are paying for, now you would struggle to get out of your contract based on this but you should be able to get a bill credit or a new router as compensation.

melody23 i will do that if it isn't fixed soon, according to the talktalk site the error is being fixed, i know things will go wrong, just annoyed tht for nearly four hours i stressed myself out trying to fix something that i never would have been able to fix lol
