rescheduled dialysis

Hello friends good afternoon. It's raining here in my place that's why we rescheduled my father's creation of AV fistula and a IJ on his neck. He is for dialysis due to his increase level of creatinine. We discovered his abnormal creatinine last May 15,2014. But only last Friday during his confinement he decided to have dialysis. We all know that this is the only treatment of patients with increased creatinine level. He was at the hospital last Thursday until Saturday due to decreased hemoglobin.Blood transfussion was done (2 units of PRBC) transfused at 6 hours each with furosimide IV. After the 2 unit's of PRBC was transfused he had a repeat CBC (complete blood count) 6 hours post blood tranfussion. His hemoglobin was corrected from 7 to 9.5.

I hope your father is doing better. I work in the dialysis field and talk to patients all the time. It's very tough for them, I feel for them.

Dialysis is the only way unless you ca organise a kidney transplant.

We have a friend who has this condition. he has been hanging in there for years now, and still manages to work as a consultant and in ministry as he is able. He finally is able to have his treatments in his own home so that he doesn't spend so much time and energy in transportation. It has made his life much easier. He knows he's living on borrowed time and is sustained mostly by the Grace of God. His condition has been very hard on his family. Your father is so very fortunate to have you caring for him.

This is a tough thing. Hope your father is in good spirits today. There is some improvement. Take one day at a time.
