Free Screenplay Writing Tutrial

It was &TheresaWiza who reminds me, in her fascinating post abut the early struggles of a budding conscience.

What she reminded me was of the moment I first found some very helpful information and all which has happened since.

She also mentioned, see, having written a and I remembered I'm supposed to also be about bringing you and “they” together, as part of my mission here. So I was trying awhile back to share a free screenplay tutorial but, tried it via some folks, everything went South and I kinda got known on other social media as a guy sharing bad things

. ...and perhaps I deserved it...

So, with a layer of scum/scam , out of the way, I introduce to you, the folks in the previous paragraph, hah.

Okay, Tree people...Forest people....I see myself more as a Bush person...

Beautiful dog.

My German Shepherd assumes that position when I shout "Pretty" and show him two thumbs up. . . That is his cue to look all pretty and cute - and he does look pretty and cute, despite all the reputation German Shepherds have! :D

I have never thought of writing a screen play. Kind of you to do a tutorial.

LoudMan wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:16 PM

I kinda thought so too...even about the dog but not Bush but maybe *shut up don*

LoudMan wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:17 PM

Notice how everybody's only noticing the dog and not how awesome and cool i am for helping someone learn how to write screenplays and find work?

LoudMan wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:18 PM

I didn't do the tutorial. "They" did. Really! I don't have any business interest in them except as a blogging topic.

jamarse wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:25 PM

But the dog is so cute - I couldn't resist. . . :) Love them!

I heard something on the radio today on the way back from the allotment. There was a script writer talking about how it took him to write 8 plays to get one done professionally and then it took him to produce 3 professional plays to figure out that play is not a novel and the difference is in the emphasis on behaviour and effects and not words and language.

Then he explained that screenwright does not stem from "to write" but rather from "wrought" meaning to create and make something. . . .

jamarse wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:29 PM

I thought paigea 's comment was a really nice one. It is a shame you didn't perceive it that way.

jamarse wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:30 PM

Don't they say "never work with animals and children" in the entertaining business - and rightly so as it distracts from the actual product or topic at hand. . . .

What does a picture of a puppy have to do with screenplays anyway?

paigea wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:35 PM

I thought I was being accused of not reading carefully. Which maybe was the case. LOL

jamarse wrote on July 18, 2014, 8:42 PM

I think I had the same accusation earlier. . . It seems that rude snappy remarks is all I've seen from LoudMan . That is certainly not how I'd treat people who try to engage with me. But hey, who am I to judge - maybe that is acceptable somewhere sometimes. . . Just not what I would do!

I wrote a screenplay when I was 10 for The Partridge Family, sent it to the producers, but never heard back. It was a ploy to meet David Cassidy emoticon  It didn't work, but I met him briefly a couple of years later, well, not met, he walked by me with his entourage and said, Hiya baby and made the day of a young 12 yr old me :)

gidget wrote on July 18, 2014, 9:39 PM

I meant script ;)

bestwriter wrote on July 18, 2014, 10:16 PM

And you call this tutorials? emoticon  I need some more to understand this.

LoudMan wrote on July 19, 2014, 3:57 PM

It's just a random meme to catch the eye.

LoudMan wrote on July 19, 2014, 3:58 PM

See, we all learned some really neat information here, today. Thank you.

LoudMan wrote on July 19, 2014, 4:00 PM

There's a lot lost when it's only in text. Any facial expressions, voice inflections and/or body language is in your head.

LoudMan wrote on July 19, 2014, 4:00 PM

That would be a fun thing to see again. The original work you did.

LoudMan wrote on July 19, 2014, 4:02 PM

No ma'am. m merely linking to the tutorial. And, doing it Persona Paper style. We often use hyperlinks on this here Internet.

gidget wrote on July 20, 2014, 6:19 PM

That was 45 years ago and I never thought of copying it, I sure should have. There's a lot of things I wrote as a child or teen that I wish I would have copied.

LoudMan wrote on July 22, 2014, 5:47 PM

Too many things, I'd love to get back.

LoudMan wrote on July 22, 2014, 5:48 PM

Not a problem.
