The Real Google AdSense Scam. Hype or Truth?
I realize that Google is big. And so is AdSense.
I also realize that I am small. Relatively. To them, certainly.
But come ON.
I’m not the only one this happened to. And it continues to happen.
Another rumor flying then AND continuing to fly today (in 2014) that Google AdSense is FAMOUS for...
...far be it for little old me to perpetuate the rumor, pfft, take away my birthday, go ahead.
The Famous Google AdSense Scam is that they find a reason to pull your account right after you make threshold that very first time. Doesn’t matter how long it’s taken you to build up those pennies. Could be years (two for me, until the rush at the end with YouTube) or weeks or whatever.
Articles, blogs, posts all over the internet have been dedicated to hyping this conspiracy theory about how Google AdSense has been getting away with doing this for YEARS.
Google AdSense doesn’t do it to everyone. Some big money. Some small. Randomly. Sketchy.
If there is even a remote possibility that this is going on (and there are some credible sources and some not), why has this NOT BEEN INVESTIGATED???????
Oh. Yah.
It’s GOOGLE. Google AdSense.

I refused to use Google for anything for a LONG time. G would get so frustrated with me but I wouldn’t do it. I’m a Yahoo girl anyway. Have been since I had my first computer. And I’m not being a dink about it. You get comfortable with a certain thing and that’s your THING.
Heck, it took me years to transition to a Mac. Now, I wouldn’t even know what to do with a PC.
Please don’t tell my old PC that (sitting in storage, I still can’t part with the old girl).

I know, it's really frustrating how they do business and just bowl over people. People probably need to unite regarding the complaint more before anything changes.

I still won't know if I'll ever reach that magic threshold. I don't see much progress in that direction. I know some people on HubPages claim to be making money from Google AdSense, but I make a few pennies a year, it seems, since I make most of my money from them indirectly. I prefer it that way. My pennies have been accumulating since 2009 when I first joined HubPages. I just checked my balance. It's 75.52. Many in another five years or so I'll reach threshold and then I'll see if they let me cash out. I hope they don't cut off my account, because if they do, I think I won't be able to use the HubPages ad program either.

It's depressing to think that after all that time, you may not get it. Fingers crossed that you will, Barb. They don't screw over everyone! If I hadn't started earning faster, I would have stayed below the radar and been fine. It's weird. Anyway, I'm using a great alternative now and it's slow starting but in just under a month I've earned .33 :) I'm not sure how that equates with where you're at but if you need a back-up, I know one :)

So far I haven't put any ads on my pages except my own affiliate links.

I'm excited to dig into affiliate marketing :) Their are a TON of programs out there. I only want to promote stuff I use or believe in but that won't be an issue, far as I can see so far. The third part ads will supplement. Eventually, if I'm earning enough through affiliate stuff, I'll consider no ads :)

Is that why they peed on my shoe and tried to call it rain a few years back? And all this time I thought it was because I use a small "g" when disparaging the google gods.
