Decorating with paint

We have always used paint as a simple and inexpensive way to decorate our house.

Besides the base colors of our walls we also will paint some walls with an accent color to help add depth and color to our rooms.

We recently moved into a house that was painted throughout with what was called Heritage Isle White. It is more beige than white, but that is my opinion.

We decided to add a little color to a few walls. We selected two different shades of green and also repainted the trim with a bright white which increased the contrast. The dark green is on these two walls and lighter green is used on another wall and at the end of the hallway.

The above photo shows the before and after look of one section of these walls.

We think it really adds to the look of the place. What do you think?

Lovely color! I live in a place (as a renter) where I cannot use color. :(

I zoomed in on your picture. That is stunning. I am lousy at choosing colours for any decorating.
