Oh no, not again!

Really annoyed...for the second time in a short time, a similar site to this, which I often use to show clients the work I can do, is offline when I have an from someone looking to see my work NAOW.

Fortunately, I now have an alternative site to direct them to. Can't think which one that would be now, can you? *grin*

That's the beauty of writing. I can compose wherever I want and now I can use whichever is most appropriate to post things as and when they're done. If one site is down, I'll just use another.

I have two sites I can long articles on, and now two that I can post shorter pieces and posts on too. I think that should work, don't you?

Guess I'd better keep going on the here then, in order to cover for That Other Site which is rarely up these days. Hope you recover from the bleeding eyeballs this may well bring you.

The maintenance is a necessary evil and hopefully the upgrades will be completed soon. But I'm a bit frustrated because the site was running smoothly earlier in the day when I had more important things to do, yet now that I've got free time, I can't do anything there. I'm at a bit of a blank when it comes to what to write about at the moment, but I've got hundreds of notifications that I needed to catch up on.

We'll see what the upgrades are lke. Even with all of the down time, my revenue at the other site is 20 times what I make here. So until the exchange rate improves, I have to divvy up my time accordingly.

I hear that one, Gina145 ! I've been on the road all day, managed to post one article before the site crashed and wanted to share the link with the lady whose site I reviewed. Now I can't because the site is down... I never have a blank over what to write, but I'd like to be able to write there more than once a week, you know?

I'm too new to see what the rates are like yet, NeldaHoxie , but I still need to keep up with notifications over there.

Never a good idea to put all your eyes in one basket. At least you have some backups while they are down :)

That was my thought after the first instance too, Cinnafire . That's why I started looking for another site, and eventually someone pointed me here.

It has been the same for me on my end wordchazer , anyway I don't think anything new is unfolding so I'm off to do random readings from about 5 authors then off with the laundry. It's a weekend here in the PH 6:19am to be exact emoticon  Enjoy your night!

I just hope that the upgrades that they with this down time is worth it. I have a feeling I'll be disappointed in the end.

So do I. But seeing as I had a sneaky preview of what elitecodex was doing with the notification thing a few months ago, I was really pleased to find that this site was where he was using it.

He actually came up with the notification thing for me when I first started Bubblews, I just pushed him into moving forward with it for the public. Too bad it bit him in the ass in the end.
