People have so many diets-low fat, low carb, etc
All diets work, but when you go off of it, you fall into the same bad habits.
The only way a diet will work is for it to change your habits.
I eat in food combinations. I do not call it a diet because it changes your way of eating, the way you look at certain types of foods and how they can work at you and it changes your metabolism.
Suzanne Somers developed this way of eating that I eat and she dubbed it 'Somersizing'.
She classifies foods into four groups: Proteins / Fats, Carbohydrates, Veggies, and Funky Foods.
Even though veggies are carbs, they have their own classification.
Funky foods should be self-explanatory, but in case you are not sure, it includes junk foods, white foods, potatoes, white bread, etc
Proteins / Fats include meats, eggs
When people go on a low fat diet they do not realize that they are loading themselves on carbs and that is why 2/3 of America is obese. Yes, 2/3. And I cannot even imagine what the data is for foreign countries that have been introduced to our western foods.
To combine, you can eat Proteins / Fats and Veggies or you can eat Carbs and Veggies, but you must never eat Proteins / Fats and Carbs. It will leave you terribly bloated, you will get heartburn and gas.
And always eat fruit on an empty stomach and follow in a half-hour with a carb meal or in an hour with a Protein / Fat meal.
I lost 50 lbs eating this way.
