Introduction for gulp_burp

I may be more than a month old on Persona Paper. But it's never too late for a proper introduction, right? LOL. So here it goes.

My name is Lindsey Marie. I'm married to Michael for eight years now and going strong. We have a 7-year-old daughter, Zoelle Marie, and an 8-month-old son, Zander Paul.

I'm from Bohol, Philippines. If you've seen the news, we suffered a 7.2 magnitude earthquake last October 15, 2013 which crumbled some of the centuries-old churches of the province, which were National Historic Treasures, and left many homeless and bereaved.

I was pregnant then, and gave birth 10 days after the earthquake. Yes, there were aftershocks while I was in labor, making the situation more uncomfortable. Thank goodness the tremors stopped while I delivered ZanPaul.

Back to my background, I was born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh to be exact. My father was an engineer and worked there. It was a company privilege to bring his family with him.

I finished my Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of the Philippines-Cebu, and am currently taking up my Masters in Public Administration in the University of Bohol. Career shift? Yes. Because I was more exposed to government work rather than in the media industry.

Right now, I'm a work-at-home mom and have no plans of going back to work anytime soon. I have to savor every moment of my son's babyhood. Kids grow up so fast these days, I don't want to miss anything.

My husband is an elementary teacher and is currently handling a Grade 1 class in a school nearby. He finished his education from the University of Visayas in Cebu City, and that's where we met 11 years ago.

I'd say I'm pretty much content with my life and have lesser insecurities than when I was a teenager.

Nice to meet you, too, gidget ! I know, I wasn't able to watch my daughter grow up because I had to go back to work a year after giving birth to her. She's now 7 and is turning into a young lady! Now that I'm at home full time, I get to see my son grow up.

Nice to meet you :) I was lucky enough to be able to stay at home with my two when they were little and I wouldn't have traded it for the world. Unfortunately I have a new granddaughter who lives in another country and that's hard. I am missing so much, but thank heavens for Skype. :) Again... it's very nice to meet you. Enjoy your little ones. :)

First of all, you and your family are beautiful! Additionally, I am sorry you had to experience this trauma. However, on the bright side, it made you stronger and gave us something interesting to read...
