CAN SOMEONE AT PERSONA PAPER TELL ME HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE?

Something weird happened.I shared my post on FB Via Twitter. Upon logging in on Facebook, I was shocked. My post appeared with midastouch photo instead of the one I had used. He had commented on the post though.

Given the title of the post which was "I miss you", I can only imagine why it got so many likes on Facebook. You can see the post Here People can be P^rvs. You see, midastouch could pass for my dad! Get what I mean?

Now I am wondering why and how this happened. It can be damaging. I have since remover the share but not before I took a screen shot. Is this a glitch? There is nothing I did different. I only hit the share button.

UPDATE: I shared this post as well and it does not appear with the screen shot but another of my photos.

I found the same issue this morning... I did a little digging and did find the answer. When facebook requests the page from our site directly, we put in a number of entries that they are looking for in order to create the post on their website (they call it their Open Graph). So the issue is that by default, it will look for the image we specify which should be the image that you uploaded. If not, we fallback to the default PersonaPaper logo.

What I did not realize until this morning is that they will not accept an image that is less than 200 pixels wide. Our default was set to be 180x180, so they skipped the image that we set and looked for other images on the page. It found the profile picture (which we set at full resolution but we scale it down in the browser) and that is the first one it picked up.

I don't currently have a method of detecting image size, so I have set it to an image of the appropriate size which will be included in the updates today. However, one way to work around this should be to ensure that the image you are uploading is at least 200px x 200px. That should temporarily fix it.

I have a less technical answer and it's funnier. Facebook does what it wants when it wants because it's Facebook and nanananapoopoo, we shall all conform, muahahahahha hhahaha.

Just kidding. They've got certain stuff set up and they are big enough that other sites have to adjust. Makes sense. When I clicked and read what happened I realized, oh WOW - I've had this happen before. And then I read your response. Now it's all coming together. I love learning :)

Thanks, is what I mean. If that wasn't clear, lol. I'm working on that ;)

That's crazy, but not the first time I've seen it or had it happen. Glad that it could be fixed, though :)
