My Own World Cup
Right smack in the middle of the WorldCup , I decided to have my own World Cup!!!
I signed up for a football team and we have our regular games every Monday night at a nearby pitch. those who are familiar, it is the blue pitch of a popular English Premier League team. Hint! Hint!
Anyway, I know a bit about the sport but I have zero skills in it. Well, that didn't stop me before. LOL! I'm currently playing in a futsal tournament and the football tournament will be a great add on. Two similar sports with two similar skill sets... I'm down!
Last Monday, was my first time playing and I must admit that I felt perfectly comfortable in the pitch. Our team was up 3 - 1 by the end of the first half but when the second half came, our fortunes changed. We hardly kept the ball in our possession and the other team started being more aggressive. They made their shots and soon we had a tied game in our hands at four goals apiece. When the final whistle was blown, we had lose the game 6 - 4.
Oh well, it was a lot of fun!
I'm already looking forward to the next game.

allen0187 Great for you, I bet you felt a little bit like one of those players at the Maracana Stadium next July 13th at the World Cup Final match. I use to play in my company's tournament, we played on Saturdays on a 7 vs 7 format. It was cool, but they stopped in 2007 due to massive layoffs.

Not quite yet nbaquero . I feel like a fish out of water really. LOL! The more I play, I'm sure the more I'll feel like Neymar or even Van Persie.
