My 60-day Physical Activity Challenge

Following AdrienneJenkins suggestion of using PersonaPaper as site to keep track of hobbies and goals (Read her post here ), I created this post to share one of my short term personal goals for the second half of the year.

I have set a goal regarding physical activity.

You might be aware of many online sites that encourage you to exercise and be active and at the same time allow you to keep track of your exercise. I personally use The President's Challenge website, because it's simple to use. Besides, you can get some awards according to the amount of physical activity you complete.

So based on this site, my goal is to reach Silver Level of the Presidential Award Challenge in the next 60 days (on or before September 1st.)

As of June 30th, I have logged almost 80,000 points and I am 10,000 points shy of getting the Silver Level Presidential Award.

So my specific goal is to get to those 90,000 points in the next two months . That means I need about 167 points per day, but since I don't exercise every single day, I had to recalculate and if I do exercise for 5 days a week, for the next 8 weeks I will need about 250 points per day .

That is equivalent to 1 Hour of brisk walking per day , I currently do 30 to 45 minutes, so I need to step up my game. The good thing is any type of physical activity counts towards the goal, so if I run, play basketball, ride a bike, lift weights or do yoga, I will be able to add those to my log. It will sure be a fun and healthy challenge for myself.

Good luck with your challenge. I used that site with some friends last year. I am doing two challenges this month. A squat and pushup challenge.

The squats are actually easier for me than the pushups.

AngelSharum Both squats and push ups are equally difficult for me, I prefer just walking, but you are giving me some great ideas.
