I Just Found Another Plagiarizer and Oh EM Gee How IDIOTIC!

I Just Found Another Plagiarizer and Oh EM Gee How IDIOTIC!
Yep - I said I D I O T I C!
Here’s why. The bat crap crazy plagiarizer who ON PURPOSE copied and pasted the post I found here at Persona Paper joined a train of about 888 others who stupidly did the same thing ALL over the internet.
For the same post.
Really?
Really.
Yep. I found it on some guy’s bog from InternetSeer (felt like he might have copy/pasted, couldn’t find a date for it). Then I found it on Yahoo!Voices from 2010 - scoped that guy and..well...I hate to be all judgy but right now I am not believing anyone about it. Then I found it on another guy’s blog from last April...
Who knows who even wrote the darn thing in the first darn place. Sad. Just sad.
REALLY.
And do they really think we are that dumb?
And this guy - who I am not linking here because he’ll be gone shortly - heck YES, I turned his dumb butt in to MaeLou (they do NOT MESS AROUND around here) didn’t even bother to pretty up his copy/paste, either.
Nope. Just swoop - paste - submit.
Idiot.
I know. It seems never ending. Fruitless. Almost PAINFUL at times.
But GOSH DARNIT - PLAGIARISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT PERSONA PAPER and YOU WILL BE GONE if you do it.
Ya know? I didn’t fight this over at the other place. Not like this. But this is twice now that I’ve caught it this badly. Just blatant faker, lying, cheating, scum of the earth, cheating low-lifes.
Some day I’ll tell you how I REALLY feel about plagiarists...
Be real or don’t write. Period.
~~~~~~~~
Read my first Persona Paper Plagiarist’s Rant Right Here . It is truly one of the few things in this life that makes me angry! Letting it out through my words does help ease the frustration, thankfully
Glad you caught this guy!
Don't worry, already taken care of ( I think... unless you found another :) )
MaeLou wrote on June 29, 2014, 2:36 PM
Thanks for pointing him out to us. We've removed a few people just today. I think the post about duplicate content should also remain on the front page for all to see. It's been an issue lately.
Not sure it was me, kdarrell ;) By the time I emailed MaeLou , she let me know he was already on their list. Shortly after that, he was buh bye! They aren't kidding around about it! Thank goodness!
SandraLynn wrote on June 29, 2014, 2:41 PM
Nope, that was him, Will, lol. I just couldn't contain myself ;) Heather told me you guys were already on it when I emailed her but I told her I was going to rant about it anyway, lol. elitecodex
It's not just dupe content, this guy was blatant. Grrr, gives me heartburn, lol MaeLou ;) But it's good to know you all are on it! I'll help and others will too! We don't want our house dirty! As we get bigger, it'll get harder but we'll just have to stay smart. :) Stupid copycats! Thanks again for being so awesome, both of ya
I have an article on Yahoo from 2008 that has been stolen about three dozen times. Weirdly, it's usually just in fragments in some advertising blog. No idea, but I have gotten Google to yank people's blogs for it. Ha! >:)
SandraLynn wrote on June 29, 2014, 3:42 PM
Good for you! This sort of this really irks me! I know it's rampant and nearly impossible to stop but cheeseburger, people! Ugh :(
Ya know...eh, never mind. I'm going to keep on keeping that to myself for now...
I just reported one to maelou as well yesterday who was copying other people's stories from a Filipino writing site, translating them to English and posting them here - WITH THEIR ORIGINAL AUTHOR'S NAMES AND COPYRIGHT NOTICES!!!!! I don't know WTF they are thinking or why they think they can get away with it - especially since not every word of Tagalog translates into English and it is obviously a translation with sporadic foreign words interspersed throughout!! They're doing this at Bubblews as well. I track them when I find them as well and report them.
Porwest wrote on June 29, 2014, 5:35 PM
No matter where it is done on the Internet, I just can't get why people do it. Especially since nowadays it is so much easier to even detect it.
paperdaisyflower7 wrote on June 29, 2014, 7:44 PM
I am glad you found him another thing are these spam comments I'm glad they are not here. At Bubblews they are trying to get them but not much luck I wanted to rant when I made my post about a migraine headache and a comment "nice work keep it up" Grrrrr I am so happy they are not here a fresh of breath air to really read comments pertaining to your post
AbbyBiha wrote on June 29, 2014, 11:44 PM
I will be fuming too if I find one. At the other site I am at, I too can't tolerate them and I will always put on their comment if that is written by them or not as the same article is also on another site and I gave them an url address. They are just shameless at doing that.
LadyDuck wrote on June 30, 2014, 1:07 AM
They must be thrown out as soon as they surface. I think some people never learn the lesson.
It's good to know that elitecodex already took care of the matter :)
PenFlavor wrote on June 30, 2014, 6:28 AM
Good job sandralynn ! By the way, what's the deal if these guys got booted and left views/ likes/ or comments on your articles; does it count against us if they say sayonara?
poddys wrote on June 30, 2014, 8:48 AM
Always good to see the plagiarisers taken down :)
I also loath the sellers of fake goods (often Nike, Rayban etc), and the latest trend being to tag people on Facebook in their photos on their fake accounts. They are almost always Chinese web sites, so I make sure to notify their account to Facebook, and report their sites on WOT (Web Of Trust).
tinamarie wrote on June 30, 2014, 11:17 AM
WTG! I don't understand why people feel the need to do that.
inertia4 wrote on June 30, 2014, 8:43 PM
&SadraLynn I have seen this happen at another site that starts with a B. They also do not tolerate Plagiarism. Not any site that I know of. I just don't understand why they do it. I know they are trying to beat the system and earn more and more from many different sites. But come on. I am glad you caught this person and they will be gone. Nice!!!
I guess plagiarizers still manage to go through the approval process. If they have "created" that one original introduction post for approval, wouldn't that mean they have writing skill at the very least? But still they manage to plagiarize? Oy.
Will you please be my bull dog?? I'm tired of fighting. I think I am going to hang up my Wonder Woman uniform, wristbands and other accoutrements before too long.
SandraLynn wrote on July 1, 2014, 7:05 PM
I get tired too, my love. I'll hold you up, you hold me ;) Together we shall stand strong forever
...or something like that ;)
kelemenk wrote on July 1, 2014, 7:53 PM
SandraLynn they are everywhere and if we don't stop them there will be more and more. Not too long ago I cought a guy on Bubblews copying and pasting the lyrics of a song Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. I pointed it out to him that it is not his own work and if he is quoting he needs to do it properly, plus he has to add his own thoughts. His answer was pretty much that he doesn't care... I reported him, but I think he is still on the site, maybe they are really busy over there...but I'll check it again and report it again if I have to :).
Other times I found a guy who posted copied content, tried to find the original, turns out I found some more copies along the original. Then they are reposting it with slightly different title...sometimes don1t even change that.
quickchai wrote on July 7, 2014, 11:28 PM
Yea.. thing is people are always looking for an easy way out, hoping against hope that they will not be caught, you are so right, it is complete idiocy to think that they can get away with it.
i echo the sentiments of the others here, glad he was caught early on...
Randajad_The_Traveller wrote on July 9, 2014, 1:41 PM
Another one bites the dust.... If they cant write a formal article, They should try sharing their personal experiences and make persona paper their diary or journal.
SandraLynn wrote on July 9, 2014, 2:01 PM
Personal is what this WWW is becoming anyway, so you are absolutely correct :)
I'm glad to find someone else who thinks that plagiarists are worse than pond life. Just what morals do they have that makes them think they can bore the crap out of the internet by copy-paste-copy-paste-spin-borrow-spit-on-hard-work attitudes like that? Oh, I forgot. It's the net, so it's free, innit? Err. Do these nerks walk into a ship and take what they want then breeze out without paying? Because that's a criminal record they'd be looking at. I pray for the day the same thing holds sway here online. I'm fed up of people nicking MY ideas and MY hard work for THEIR gain. Google can't squash them quick enough for me.
