Pieces of Lisboa

In my previous post I talked about a Canadian graphic artist named Marc Ghali, who created a mix of pictures of famous people from past and present on a project called Now and Then.

While browsing trough that project and other work created by Ghali, I found another set called "Pieces of Lisboa" . It is a photo mash-up of different scenes in Lisboa. Since I have never been to Portugal I would have to refer to locals such my friend VASS to identify where in Lisbon were those pictures taken.

But I can say all picture mixes are great and show a nice, colorful and inviting city. With people from all ages enjoying what seems to be a nice summer filled with blue skies and yellow/brownish walls. Of course it's impossible to know a city in only eight pictures, but Ghali's work is certainly a collection of post cards for a beautiful city.

I think I know where four of them were taken for sure. They're about a 30 minute drive from my home. But the photos seem much brighter and colorful than reality. I guess it's part of the author's style.

VASS Thanks so much, he did a wonderful job with the vivid colors and composition on these pictures. Now that I think about it, your are a photographer too, right? Did you check his other project called Now and Then, it's very interesting too.

I visited Lisboa some years ago, but I am unable to say where those pictures were taken. I am sure I took several pictures in Portugal, I have to open the right box and get out my photo albums.

I don't consider myself a photographer, but I love taking photos. The other project is amazing. Thank you for letting me know this photographer.
