Okay, so I don’t get mad very often but I’m STEAMING right now. JUST POSTED an update - which you can read right here - about several things but also included a very CLEAR note about what will happen if you plagiarize here.

You’ll be GONE from Persona Paper.

No. Second. Chance.

What part of that isn’t clear to you people?

Not you people who get it, who know not to plagiarize . And I’m talking about ONE person in particular right now.

Because right after I read Will’s update post, I went to the homepage to see what else was happening and low and behold, I clicked what I hoped would be something interesting (to me).

Sadly, I was terribly disappointed to find that it was a horribly copy/pasted post. And yes, I checked (it's quite easy to do that here on the intertubes, duh!) to be sure. Ugh.

Guess what? I tattled.

I HATE that.

I don’t like to tattle. UGH!

But I’m going to keep doing it. And so are other folks.

Plagiarism will not be tolerated here at Persona Paper.

Plagiarists are the scourge of the earth. They should be strung up by their fingers until each and every finger falls off. One by one. Slowly. Painfully.

Don’t do it.

You aren’t doing yourself any favors. And you are hurting us and Persona Paper too. Buh BYE.

End rant.

I feel thoroughly chastised, and yet, I didn't do anything wrong.

elitecodex wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:04 AM

LOL Thank you... and don't worry, you are tattling. We are thankful for the community to help us in finding things that we may miss. It only helps us all in the end.

MaeLou wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:07 AM

Yes, please do tattle! It's the community as a whole that lets us know what is going on just in case we can't get to it in time.

SandraLynn wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:07 AM

No worries. I didn't think to email directly, though, just sent it through the general "contact me". Yikes. I hope you guys got it, !! We've got your back. With what we've all been through so far, I've gotta figure, we're in this together ;)

SandraLynn wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:08 AM

na ananna na poo poo, I did stick that plagiarist's head in doo doo!

momathome wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:10 AM

You are not "tattling" you are helping improve our community by keeping out thieves and cheaters! Congratulations!

SandraLynn wrote on June 23, 2014, 11:26 AM

LOL. Of course you didn't ;) No worries :)

AdrienneJenkins wrote on June 23, 2014, 12:13 PM

I agree I like the no second chances. Plus I have huge respect for elitecodex and his coding abilities. Seems to be very solution oriented and practical. It's disappointing that Bubblews was not able to work together with him on the Bubble Buddy feature. I've never been on the ground floor of a new web venture so here I am and not no second chance rule sounds good to me.

It's good to be prepared :)

Find it annoying when someone plagiarizes. You did the right thing by turning them in. We have to stick together to stop them from ruining Persona Papers!

LadyDuck wrote on June 24, 2014, 1:42 AM

I am glad plagiarism will not be tolerated and also the nonsense comments. Unfortunately I still see one user posting
"very nice, I like this"... what should I do? Should I inform Will?

facheso wrote on June 25, 2014, 8:12 AM

Hi I am new in this community. I just want to ask a question. I am a blogger and I do write articles on bubblews and and my question is, if i write one post and post it here on persona and do the same on my other sites, provided that I am the original writer will my account get deleted? will appreciate your guidelines on this.Thank you

SandraLynn wrote on June 25, 2014, 8:31 AM

If you see it being consistent LadyDuck - more than just your posts, etc. then yes, inform them. MaeLou is the one to contact on that, currently. Make sure you have the name of the person and maybe a link to the post you are referring to. It's nice to have all the info so they can handle the problem quickly and efficiently!

I don't believe they are trying to rid the site of those types but possibly a kind word about how to comment...ooooh. Just had an idea, lol. Anyway, we just don't want spam comments. Sometimes people want to comment but don't know what to's a fine line for sure ;)

SandraLynn wrote on June 25, 2014, 8:37 AM

Hi facheso and welcome to Persona Paper :) Thanks for asking this important question, as it's been a hot topic lately! While I am not an official of PP, I feel confident to answer you about this; however, you may want to follow MaeLou and elitecodex for official site updates, too.

Duplicate content at Persona Paper is not allowed. Meaning you cannot have posted elsewhere and then bring it here, even if you are the original author.

If you are posting to PP first, and put it elsewhere afterward, that entirely up to you. I'm not a fan of duplicating content on the whole but that's a personal choice.

For more info, click the links at the top of each PP page - Rules, FAQ, How it Works, etc. Be sure to read those and check back often as they may be updated.

Hope this helps :)

You are right, &Blabbermouth - forgive me, I didn't mean any down play of those who steal art. I am one who only uses my own images always (since Bubbs, anyway - before that I was often compelled by the site I was writing for, depending) and very often get creative with Adobe and Photoshop. When I say don't plagiarize, I intend it to mean: DON'T STEAL PERIOD. Don't be a dink. Again, I'm sorry if that wasn't clear, as I was calling out this jerk. I dislike intensely anyone who cheats and steals :( Thank you sincerely for the reminder! :)

YAY :) You got it ;)

WordChazer wrote on July 19, 2014, 11:13 AM

If Persona Paper doesn't get to you first, you WILL LOSE YOUR BLOG AND OTHER ACCOUNTS IF YOU DUPLICATE POSTS. Google is not suffering fools at the moment and it has cost me my blog, where I hosted guest posts from a third party site. Google landed on the third party site as being a home of plagiarists and sent DMCAs (cease and desist, remove all associated content or we will remove your account) to everyone registered there. Ignore Google in this sort of mood and you could end up in serious trouble.

The Google Gods adore unique. They will harshly penalise that which is NOT. And that would hurt you and every single site you choose to use this option on. Just because you wrote it does not mean you can copy and paste it all over the net. That's pure laziness, according to Google. If you value your work, do not do it.
