JUICE - It’s What’s for Breakfast!

JUICE - It’s What’s for Breakfast!

Because of my health issues (I’ll be getting to that, rather than just hinting about it, soon enough - probably) I try to tend toward healthier “eating” habits.

Most of the time.

One awesome healthy thing I’ve been doing for myself since March, is juicing. I’ll save explaining how I got into juicing for another post (it’s pretty wicked cool) but the benefits of juicing are really darn good all the way around - mind, body, and spirit.

This morning I absolutely NEEDED my juice.

I’d been on a really good roll for quite some time, leading up to our wedding back in May, with juicing daily. After the big day, I’ve gotten lazy, busy, complacent, WHATEVER. Not excusing, TRUTHING!

I’ve been missin’ my JUICE.

So today I dusted off the apples and carrots and some ginger. AND the juicer too. Plugged it in and stuffed it all through.

YUM! A healthy treat and good for me too.

This Carrot Apple Ginger recipe makes 2 servings, 12-16 oz each and includes:

4 Red Delicious Apples
1 Granny Smith Apple
8 Carrots Medium Size
1 Piece of Ginger (to taste)

(Please Note: the original recipe - minus the granny smith apple and 2 less carrots - was taken from Of COURSE I’m going to share more about this lil gem, soon :) ).

Stay tuned for the continuing Google AdSense Saga throughout the weekend, too!

My wife recently got me on a smoothie kick which I have been loving lately :) Its mainly fruit but I could drink a few gallons of that a day if we had that much.

I bought myself a Vitamix seven years ago, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, as a way to lose weight for my reconstruction surgery. I preferred that to a juicer, because I did not want to rid myself of the whole raw food aspect. I love it.

It sounds as if you are moving forward to take better care of yourself. It's in these (often time) small changes that we reap the biggest rewards. Hugs and much love, San. Have a great weekend!

Smoothies are YUM too, - soooo good and we get on those kicks too, lol. The juicing is a little different. Some of them don't taste so yummy but are definitely good for you :) (I chug the yuckier ones, lol)

I use a Breville and LOVE it. Did my research and am very happy with it, from top to bottom and inside out. And yes, the juicing came about because of all the health stuff and the doctors practicing and PRACTICING ( :( ) We'll get there, one way or another. Enjoy yours too, my love :)
