The unfortunate drop in earnings seems, inevitably, to have lowered activity on the site a bit. That's only to be expected. It's good to see so many members hanging on though. In the medium to long term this could even work out to be a positive thing. I don't think any genuine writer seriously expects to make any more than pocket change from a revenue share site these days, so a lot of the... less talented members here and at the other site that doesn't work very often are from countries where $5 is a significant amount of money. Not coincidentally they are also the ones who can't speak English and just post badly machine-translated screeds of gibberish. If PP becomes a place where people write for the fun of it, there's a good chance it may become attractive to advertisers again. If that happens we should take a robust approach to spam and click bait, to keep the standards up.
