There are still people here!

The unfortunate drop in earnings seems, inevitably, to have lowered activity on the site a bit. That's only to be expected. It's good to see so many members hanging on though. In the medium to long term this could even work out to be a positive thing. I don't think any genuine writer seriously expects to make any more than pocket change from a revenue share site these days, so a lot of the... less talented members here and at the other site that doesn't work very often are from countries where $5 is a significant amount of money. Not coincidentally they are also the ones who can't speak English and just post badly machine-translated screeds of gibberish. If PP becomes a place where people write for the fun of it, there's a good chance it may become attractive to advertisers again. If that happens we should take a robust approach to spam and click bait, to keep the standards up.

Very well said and I would hazard a guess that your way of thinkin' is also in the minds of many of us who have stayed ;) YAY :)

I think there's no harm in keeping a hand in, writing a few posts and in the long run it could be quite profitable to have the catalogue of posts under the old belt. I haven't written one today, but I will.

I'm sticking with PP as well. I share your POV, some people that left the site are those really 'bad' members who wouldn't contribute anything worthwhile to the site or to the community in the long run. Spammers, scammers, plagiarists top the list but there are also those who would annoy us with their badly written 'good morning/good afternoon/good evening' or otherwise run of the mill posts that just makes us cringe when we read it.

I agree with you 100%.... I am staying, and I agree with SandraLynn. I am happy to read words that aren't empty. I think the 'real' writers are left, now. :) Gloria/Granny Gee
