Reflecting on My Childhood: Truly Inspirational
Yesterday on a lazy Sunday morning, I laid back and watched a little television. I stumbled across an old movie that I remembered clearly from my childhood. It was a tragic movie about folks that were troubled as youths and were victims of a failed academic system.
It spurred the memory of watching this movie on a black and white TV, which was a piece of furniture back then and the only TV in the house.
As adults, they desperately tried to fit into the world but oftentimes failure would find them. They would stick together and would not be discouraged as they staunchly marched on from one fumbled career opportunity to another. This was truly inspirational and it all made perfect sense to me as a child, and now as an adult.
I still connect to these men and their life encounters are much like mine today. Yes, the Three Stooges represent an uncanny likeness to my shenanigans and the best part was; it was a Curly episode – I don’t like that Shemp at all!
