Small towns
Do you live in a small town? If so you will really understand my post then. I live in a small town and i swear everyone knows everyone here and they know everyones business. You cant seem to do anything in this town without the whole town knowing about it, or talking about it. Anything you say or do seems to become town gossip. I have even found that if people don't know anything about you then they will just make up things about you so they have something to talk to others in town about.
You walk into the local grocery store or other stores and you always see someone that you know and they want to stand and talk to you for what seems like forever and seems even longer if you was in a hurry when you came into the store to begin with. I don't want to tell anyone i cant talk cause i have to hurry so i just try to talk nicely and then say i gotta go get these things before i forget what i came here for lol.
I like being in the country. There is less drama and bs and you can actually go outside your house and do what you want and there isn't anyone to talk about what your doing to other neighbors or other people in town. You can hear birds and other animals at night and it seems like it is easier to see the stays also but maybe that is just my opinion and isn't actually true. What is your idea of living in a small town? Do you like it or not?

I live in the country, but I know what you mean, my grandmother lived in a small (very small) town.

Small towns have their charms (I grew up in one), as does the country. But I like living in a city better.

I live in a very small town, so I completely understand. I love it mostly, but the gossip can get annoying.....

I would enjoy living in a small town, I think. However, we definitely live in a large city, to the point that we wait until 11:00pm to go to Walmart, because it's so crowded during the day.

Like any place, small towns have their charms and their drawbacks. I lived in a rural area where the towns were so small that if you blinked, you'd drive right on past. I enjoyed that I knew many of the people who owned and worked in the small local stores. I didn't engage in gossip and I didn't hear any. That doesn't mean it didn't go on, it just didn't go on around me.

I live in a fairly good-sized city, so that type of gossip doesn't reach us. My mom and son have a farm and they don't have to deal with that kind of mess either.
