Making a house your home
We are now just a few days away from closing the sale on our new home, so today we are going to venture into a paint store and select some paint for a few walls we want to change.
The entire house right now is an off white in color. It is nice but a little too bland for our tastes. We like to add a little color here and there to brighten things up and add a little pizzazz.
My wife has excellent taste when it comes to color combinations so I always let her pick the colors. This has kept me alive so far and prevented a lot of useless discussions and arguments.
I on the other hand, get the honor of applying her selections to the wall surfaces. This has proven to be a wise choice over the years as, bless her soul, she is an awful painter. More clothing has been totally destroyed with her painting skills than any other method.
I am sure that our adventure today will be interesting as it usually is and I shall report back to you at a later time about her selections for this new house.

I also repainted some of our walls, white was too bland.

We do it the same way here. I choose the colors, my husband applies them to the wall (and his hands, arms and head, lol).

I always like a bit of color. It spices up life! I look forward to seeing the results. I am sure that the workable combination that you have perfected with your wife will contribute to amiable success!!

I love decorating when I move in to a new place. Right now I am repainting walls in my home I rent. It is an eggshell color but the kind you can wipe the walls clean. As the last kind use to paint if you tried to wipe the walls, the paint came off. I use color with the items I decorate my home and walls.

That's a lovely home. When it comes to choosing colors, I am hopeless too and I am glad that my two sons excel in this field and they are the ones who will do that choosing for me.
