Looking for a Job

Looking for a job in the freelance and online areas is hard to find the right fit. There are a lot of writing sites out there, but they all do not offer compensation. Writing is hard work, but it is fun to share one's knowledge and ideas. It is also a lot of work with picking a topic or theme or what some like to call a 'niche'. The next step is to form your outline of an article or story that you want to write and share, then there are the rough drafts if you still do preliminary forms of a story or whatever you are working on at the moment. I am even looking into trying to get text to text transcription jobs or even copy typing jobs to help me supplement my writing income. I even tried to get online positions for typing from Great Britain and Canada and the United States, but it seems like not even they are hiring at the moment in the area I am interested.
Would anyone here on persona paper know of any online copy typing positions? I keep seeing sites that offer copy typing/transcription of vintage books, since they say most people want to read eBooks not old fashioned hardback or paperback books or even carry them around and electronic versions of books are better. I would really like to be this kind of typist. Another skill that I learned is typing handwritten materials for I feel I am really good at other handwriting styles. Please let me know. I would really appreciate any help.

Have you tried looking for people who need their theses typing up? Not everyone is good at typing their thesis or dissertation and some are prepared to pay someone to do, it, especially those for whom English is not their first language.

I like HireWriters, and I used to do assignments for oDesk, which is now called Upwork. Since they changed to Upwork, it's a little weird - they issue "credits" or something, and I'm not sure how that works, but they do have a VERY wide variety of types of work availabel. HireWriters is more about just writing, but there are still different types of jobs. You have to "move up" through their levels (Beginner through Expert) to get the top-paying assignments, but it's extremely easy to do that. I prefer HW because you can take any assignments for which you qualify, vs Upwork, where you have to apply for a job and are competing against a bunch of people who will underbid you. You could also advertise your own services on a site like Fiverr.

Upwork did not work for me. There was little work for me there. HireWriters and not accepting new writers. I am now on Fiverr.com and I have my first typing job hopefully starting tomorrow copy typing some handwritten documents. Thanks for your suggestions though.
