A Lesson On Cars
You probably thought the tiny terror was all grown up and behaving herself now she is 7 years old? I took her shopping today and as usual, she never stopped talking. At one shop, I left her outside to watch the shopping bags. She did that very well.
On the way out another lady stopped to speak to her. She asked if she was my daughter's daughter. When I said yes, she turned to the Tiny Terror and said,
"I used to see your mother in playgroup, when I worked there. She was always very good. Are you good too?"
"No", was the Tiny Terror's prompt and accurate and truthful response.
While we were walking between shops, I was reminding her about road safety and to watch out for cars. The Tiny Terror told me she knew a lot about cars, she had been watching her daddy drive for a very long time. "But I learnt something very important about cars," she said, "Never put coins in the CD player, otherwise you can't play CDs any more and have to listen to the radio. I don't like the radio" She added, "My daddy is going to see if the Volvo mechanic can get them out, then I can listen to my CDs again."
I agreed, that was a very important lesson!
