Puppy To Stay

Our son asked if we would have his puppy to stay for a few days while he was away. She's a collie, called "Misty", comes from working stock sheep dogs and she is about 4 months old. We used to have a collie, called "Lizzie" many years ago, so thought it wouldn't be too bad. But we forgot that this one is still a pup and we no longer have 3 kids and all their pals to keep a dog busy and occupied. We have a granddaughter here but by herself, it's not enough for an active pup that chews everything and seems to have energy enough to send a rocket to the moon! We have only had her with us for just over 3 hours and she has already chewed something that I don't know what it was but it has disappeared and she loves chewing shoe laces!

Tired Out

We took her for a walk but that's a workout for me. She pulls, races ahead, falls behind and wants to talk to every dog she meets and jump up on every person. It takes quite a bit of muscle power to hold on to her. She needs training! I'll have to take her for another walk later. She was chewing my office chair but now she is resting. I wonder how long for? The picture is her chewing my chair!

Life just gets harder over the years... even walking a dog. I just found out my body may be trying to reject my skin! So now I am taking an immune-system suppressant drug.

Oh dear, I have never heard of the body rejecting its own skin! I hope the drug works ok for you without too many side effects.

Chewing your chair! Hope Misty is ok, but a puppy is a lot of work! If it was an older dog, maybe it wouldn't have been that complicated! Is Misty still with you? I love puppies and kitties, they are adorable, but that's a lot of extra work!

We had her for 3 days - it was enough!
