Isolation day 1

Well I had a bit of a cough yesterday so this morning called the boss for advice as I was by this point coughing up a lung every 5 minutes of course I am now in self isolation with no hope of attending my training next week, which wont go ahead anyway no doubt.

I don't actually have coronavirus, I don't have a temperature and I am in no way sick but we obviously cant take the chance of me going out and seeing people who are sick and vulnerable. So now I am stuck in the house for what now looks like 14 days according to today's advice.

Day 1 of isolation is not too bad, I am fortunate that I can work from home to some extent not doing my exact same job of course but I can do some work and the company are happy with that so I am not actually marked absent.

What worries me is if this turns into 3 months isolation (my job is going to be fully home based for 3 months minimum now) because I have been housebound for 11 weeks before when I had my injury and I was bored out of my mind. I already work from home but I go out and visit people in the mornings so I have a good balance in my job until now.

Wish me luck for the next 13 days.

Oh dear. When you are visiting people, you have to be so careful now. Our town is like a ghost town at the minute, very eerily quiet! Staying in doesn't particularly bother me, especially if I have the computer. I suppose I could do housework if I really had to!

It gets boring real quick trust me. The big problem is that although I work from home, I can only do one tiny part of my job without actually going and visiting people and that one tiny part gets boring when you are doing it 40+ times a day

I'm writing more articles of late and studying somewhat more. Also helping one or two people with genealogical matters and downloading video materials...
