Does Microwave Cooking Encourage Fat Women?
I categorize this as humor, since it is not to be taken TOO seriously. And, rest assured, it's not intended to be aimed as a weapon at fat women. Hey! I'm fat.
Nevertheless, it is more than humor in that it is a kind of half-seriously held theory of mine.
You see, my wife cooks for six people. She loves the smell of what she cooks. For a while...
But by the time she's finished, she doesn't want to eat it. She's tired of the smell. She's even slightly sickened by it. Or, at least, she doesn't feel like eating.
The result is, her weight is normal to very slightly high.
But what about microwave cooking that takes a mere handful of minutes to achieve? Is there time to lose one's appetite in a handful of minutes?
So my theory is: women who concentrate on microwave cooking alone, should be fat. Or, at the very least, high normal.
What say ye ladies?

We don't have a microwave but I am overweight. I don't do all the cooking, my husband does (maybe more than) his share. He is a healthy weight. He has a higher metabolic rate than me. While I am cooking, I taste the vegetables and check the temperature of the protein portion, by tasting a bit. Tastes here and tastes there .....

Sounds like fun! I don't move about in front of the stove. At least that's some exercise. I sit and wait for it.

While I am cooking, I use the waiting times (kettles to boil, pots to simmer, veggies to cook, etc) to stand on one foot (improve balance) do side dips (improve flexibility) and sometimes, even squats!!!!
