Mathematical Bridge Cambridge
The Bridge Joins the College
I am in Cambridge, England, UK at the minute. One of the famous sights there is what is popularly known as the "Mathematical Bridge", though its actual name is just the "Wooden Bridge". It crosses the River Cam and joins the two parts of Queen's College, one of the 31 Colleges of Cambridge University. Punting is popular in Cambridge and the Mathematical Bridge is one of the places where many tourists choose to take a river trip, poled by a punter.
What Is A Punt?
A punt is a flat bottomed boat with a square constructiion at either end, rather than a bow. It has no keel or tiller and is steered and powered by the punter.
Cambridge truly is an amazing place.
