So Happy with My Fitbit Fitness Tracker!
I have a fairly sedentary job that involves sitting at a desk almost all day from 8am to 5pm. It had put some weight on me and I was overweight already! Alarmed by this turn of events, I made some changes, one of which was purchasing a Fitbit fitness tracker. In preparation for buying a fitness tracker, I read a lot of reviews, and one model that kept showing up in the "top ten" and "top five" lists was the Fitbit Charge 2. There were other good brands and models, but they were very expensive, and I was able to get the Charge 2 for a reasonable price (under $200).
I love this little thing! It lets me set goals and celebrates when I achieve them. It tracks my heart rate, my calories burned, and even my sleep. Wearing it to bed has helped me learn a lot about my sleep patterns and also let me know that I don't get as much sleep as I thought (which honestly didn't surprise me all that much, and it explained why I was tired a lot).
The best part is that it fusses at me to get up and move around! Even if all I can do is walk in place, that gets my heart rate up and gets me burning calories. So far, my lifestyle changes are working--I've lost 25 pounds, which is everything I gained at work and a bit more! My Fitbit tracker tells me that my resting heart rate is now down several points, and my fitness level has noticeably improved. I can't recommend it enough!
Just a note- if you are interested in buying a fitness tracker, the Fitbit Charge 2 is great--but it is not waterproof, so you can't swim in it or shower with it on. However, the newer model, the Charge 3, is waterproof ( I guess people complained!) I expect it's more expensive, but I think it's worth the money, if you need that aspect. I'm happy with my 2, for now!
