I have been trying to work on something new to write about

All day yesterday and all day to day and maybe a few days before yesterday I thought about trying to find something new to actually write about. I tried writing a short fiction on myLot but got stuck and couldn't proceed past the first few paragraphs of the story introduction.

The latest is, as far as what is actually new is that I have learned that there had been a kind of outbreak or rather a giant marsupial thing going on somewhere in Florida. It was said that some very large opossums got lose in Florida and that they escaped from captivity into the wild and began to reproduce and the mayor wants people to shoot them on sight to lower the population and a few are selling the furs and people are getting riled up about it because they bought the possum furs thinking they were maybe chinchilla furs?

I have to treat this story as a rumor, because I don't have all the facts. I guess I could Google it but the idea is enough to make me laugh and I do need something to laugh about.

The latest news about the shutdown is making me really stop and think, or perhaps it is more like wonder, How long is this going to last? Nobody here really likes talking politics so I won't get into details on that subject.

Last night there was a news story about that guy who played Baretta, the man with the cockatoo who started acting as a kid and later got put into prison for allegedly killing his wife. And there was a thing on television about Betty White turning 97 and a prince in England in a car accident with an overturned SUV and he was I think, 97 years old and was not killed.

There has been little or no talk about global climate change on the main stream television news but I am sure anyone interested in finding out more can go to YouTube dot com and type in abrupt climate change and look for articles by Noam Chomsky former MIT university professor on the subject.

I think it fair to add that postage stamps remain so far at only 50 cents for a basic letter sized envelope in the US mail, but talk of an increase in postage stamps has been going on.

We made it through another year and it will be all up hill for us in 2019 for many reasons, like 2 more years under Trump. Oops, said I would not get into that. Okay, sorry about that. Well, I will try to write more later. God bless everyone here at persona paper. Still going strong.

The Prince who was involved in a car crash was Prince Philip, the husband of the Queen. Yes he is 97 years old and it's surprising he wasn't hurt in the crash, however, he was probably greatly shaken. The occupants of the other car were injured. The driver got cuts to her knee and the passenger broke her wrist. The baby in the back seat was not hurt, thank goodness. Prince Philip said the sun blinded him.

Write about your own personal experiences when you were young. Things that you view as milestones. If you have to scratch dandruff out to write a piece, it's better left unwritten.

Okay, thanks for the details. And yea, the sun can really distract us while driving and that is a reasonable cause for that accident.

I think the reason I have to 'scratch dandruff' at times is because of the many distractions I have in my life. Focusing on my own personal experiences might be too painful at this moment. Maybe later. I find it easier to write short pieces than going into stark detail about my life as it has been a hard road to travel in my case.

The harder, the more interesting...

Yes, however, some areas of the past can be very painful and difficult for people to live through over again, even if it is cathartic, in the sense of providing closure: reliving some memories can take months to get over.
