Riding at the back of the bus

Ok, so it is not a bus, it is an airplane, but when you are in the very last seat this is what the view looks like.

You get a wonderful view of the back of a lot heads and some with bald spots.

I took my first flight when I was 19 years old compliments of the US Air Force as they flew me to basic training in Texas. I can remember we actually got a meal on the flight from Baltimore to San Antonio. Nowadays you are lucky if you get a bag of pretzels (peanuts are now too expensive).

Since my first flight I have flown to Europe several times and the Far East once. Let me tell you, it is a long flight from Miami to Tokyo.

All those flights were in cattle class or what the airlines like to call coach, as in bus coach.

I have flown first class on only one occasion, it was a $50 upgrade and I could not pass it by. I must admit I could get used to First Class very easy.

I am

I have never flown first class, only coach. When I was almost 12 I flew back from the Netherlands with my family on a flight that was largely filled with refugees from south Asia. Apparently they traveled a step down from coach since the section of the plane we were in was largely unoccupied. In fact everyone in my family (five of us took that trip) was able to sit in a window seat and extra seats to stretch out on to sleep. From Montreal to Toronto we were almost the only people on the plane.
