Is There an Element of Truth to the Paranoia?

Paranoia is the irrational fear that someone or something, somehow, is out to get you. This is, at least, my definition. But is at least some of that labeled as paranoid, in fact, truth?

You take a trip out of state. Decades ago, if you did that, you could expect every manner of new experience to remember for a lifetime... Different foods, different styles, just D-I-F-F-E-R-E-N-T. Not now.

As you drive from one town to the next, you see the same gas stations, the same Walmarts, the same McDonalds, the same Olive Gardens.

You're heading to the same motel located in your town. They let you cook, so you stop at the same grocery store. As you walk through the store, you see the same food, the same brands. Watch out for the men polishing the floor, who work, not for themselves, but some large outfit.

OK. You've bought the food. You arrive at your motel. You settle in your room that looks v-e-r-y familiar. You have internet access. You search the web. You use the same Google. The top search entries offering you "choices" of answers are all the same huge sites. What happened to some of those other sites? Google algorithms are succeeding in SQUEEEEEEZING them out! Mwa-ha-ha-ha.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean their not out to get you!

Yes and if you really stop to think about, it is not funny!

For some people there is an element of truth. There was something that really did truly happen to them and it brought on the paranoia.
