Roblox Vs. Minecraft - My Grandkids' Point of Contention

My wife and I are raising 3 grandchildren. One is aged 9, one 6, and one 4. The nine-year-old and the six-year-old are intense about their online video games.

One favors Minecraft. One Roblox.

Now I never got involved with Minecraft. However, I was "dragged into" Roblox. I favor Mining Simulator, although I also play Bee Swarm and Fat Simulator.

My son informs me the software used to produce those games is actually pretty old and limited. Thus it takes a programmer with real skill to design these games.

Have you ever tried one? It's free! Let me drag you into -- um, I mean invite you to try -- Mining Simulator.

Once a dad , always a grand dad. It never ends in a great grand dad's lifetime. :)

Three of my granddaughters love minecraft, the others are too young yet! I used to love "lemmings" many years ago. I dare not put games on my computer or I would spend all day on them. I have one game on my tablet and one on my phone (the same one) and I play those a couple of times a day. It's an anagram type game and it helps me take a break from computer work if I need one. I don't mind that one, I can leave it and come back to exactly the same place hours or days later.

I'll pass on the games thank you. I have never played a video game since that dreadful evening when my 11-year-old nephew Graeme beat me hands down at a boxing simulator! My pride still hasn't recovered emoticon

Funny. You remind me of the time a man on the job (who takes a measure of pride in his intellectual prowess) suggested I might ask my very young son if he would like to join the two of us in a video game, VGA Planets. Well, he agreed. Guess who came in first, CLOBBERING the two of us? I mean he was YOUNG.
