Comments on YouTube articles are very helpful and sometimes hurtful but mostly helpful to the YouTube channel's owner.

SOCIAL MEDIA THRIVES ON COMMENTS.

IF THERE WERE NO COMMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA, NOBODY WOULD BE ABLE TO GAUGE THE VALUE OF THEIR EFFORTS.

I am glad the comments are possible in all forms of social media, from Facebook and Twitter to writing sites like personapaper and myLot and Literacy Base and Hub Pages etc.. and so on.

I recently have been watching many YouTube videos about rapid climate change just because it is a very hot topic to discuss, probably the single most important subject to be discussing from people all over the planet. The YouTube channel owners, who speak day after day, on camera, in their own words, are honest, sincere and when they verbally express their appreciation for good comments on their topics, it shows. So, for this reason there is a more positive benefit than negative from comments on social media and I just wanted to say, interaction on social media is a more human approach to the internet than just reading articles and not having anyone to talk to about it. exchange of ideas and thoughts and feelings is what social media is all about.

Social, social, social. Youtube posters LOVE comments on their efforts, as do writers, bloggers, photographers, etc.

I think comments are a source of motivation to many. There are times however I get a sarcastic or insulting comment and that gives me pause.

I often use those as an opportunity to get another link in or as a customer service point. For instance, on one of my videos, which was on how to create a mind map online, someone tried to say that THEIR product did far more than the one I was illustrating. I just replied that they should then create a video for THAT product to show how it should be done. They never bothered coming back to comment on where it could be found! They were happy to try to get a link but couldn't be bothered doing the work of showing how to do something.

Better off to ignore such dumb comments. I have to deal with negative remarks sometime and I try not to feed them as they are TROLLS and should be blocked from commenting. Good thing I can do that when I come across a sarcastic dim witted twerp. Oops. I ranted Sorry.

I don't like mega-sites that you wish to contact and they give you a menu that makes no provision for email contact. Comments should be constructive. Otherwise... they're outa here!

I don't go with most comments. Mostly are bashing and hateful comments.

There are some that are very negative, but on the other hand, there are many that are good and positive. I'm sorry to hear that you have experienced any bad comments on your articles.
