I like to drink SUN TEA - Don't you?

SUN TEA IS BREWED DIRECTLY FROM SUNLIGHT

YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU TRY.

It's pretty simple. You measure about 3 tablespoons of loose tea, whatever flavor you like in a large glass pitcher or a large size mason jar and fill it with a quart or more of water, stir and let it sit out on a hot summer day with the lid on, until it is ready. The longer it sets, the stronger it gets!

To save on energy costs, we need to find new ways to prepare our favorite beverages such as tea, which can save you money when you make it the Sun Tea Method.

I can tell you other ways to cook food or prepare things like coffee and cook hot dogs with only sunlight. You need to do your research. I did and found a way to make coffee in the sun as well as tea and you can too. It's funtastimundo to do. You can actually make coffee better using the cold brew method.

Simply put a reusable Mr. Coffee 12 cup style coffee filter in a bowl put the medium coffee grounds in the filter then pour over enough water to make one large 16 oz. cup. The amount of coffee grounds I use to make one cup of strong coffee is about 2 tablespoons full and it takes several hours for the coffee to infuse with the water, overnight is a good idea.

Then in the morning, take it out and drink it cold. But using the refrigerator requires electricity. So that idea doesn't fit the Sun brewed method. Here below is an article about sun brewed coffee:

We have had a real summer in the UK for the first time in a number of years, though it seems to be breaking now. These would be good ideas to try for hot days.

I will try making sun coffee tomorrow. I am actually going to use a quart size pickle jar. It will work for my experiment, then if that doesn't work I will try it with lose tea and see what happens. I have tea bags also. I may do it both ways to see if one method is better than the other.

If it doesn't work, the liquid from tea bags or tea leaves is a good fertiliser for house plants or the garden. LOL
