Writing For Article Sites

Have you ever wondered what it's like to write for article sites? There are a lot of benefits that come with this line of work. Here, you can learn the pros of working through article websites so you can see if it is something that you're interested in doing yourself.

Different kinds of sites

There are different types of sites. Some allow you to write whatever you wish and get published, others require a higher standard of articles, for instance a longer article, written with a good standard of spelling and grammar and possibly illustrated with pictures, graphics or diagrams. Other sites provide articles for customers, so you have no choice of topic, only possibly, the slant you take on the article.

Article-Providing Sites

When you write for article-providing websites, you learn a lot about new topics. The way these writing websites work is that people order articles that they need someone to write for them. This means that you're going to be writing on topics you may know nothing about a lot of the time. Of course, there are also people that order topics that you may have written about in the past which is good because you can easily get through those articles since you already know what to write. But, people also order all kinds of topics you can learn more about so you can add the information to your article writing arsenal.

You can make good money on article writing sites once you get into the groove of things. When you first start out it is a little difficult to make money because you're going to be afraid of making mistakes. However, once you know what clients are looking for in general you can start to take topics that you're comfortable with and can have them done in no time at all even if they are topics that you have to research a little. It becomes a lot easier over time, as with anything else, to write articles on article writing websites.

Interest-Based Writing Sites

With those sites where you write about what interests you, you get to practise your writing skills and can possibly even get feedback on the end product. The sites that require a higher standard of article often have forums where more experienced writers can provide a critique of your article and ideas of what to include, omit or the slant to take.

You get to work from home whichever type of site you write for. This means that you don't have to go out into the world and deal with anyone when you're writing. Generally, you just have to deal with the clients that order articles, or brainstorm a new topic to write about. When writing for clients, sometimes they may not be happy with something that you've written for them so you may have to go back through and rewrite a few things here and there but that generally isn't too much of a pain. Working from home is great because you get to set your own hours and you only have to write what you're comfortable with.

Improve Your Writing

There are a lot of ways to write that you can experiment with as you work on a system for your writing. You are going to start out not being very good at the work you're doing, but once you get the hang of things you'll do better and better. You want to figure out how you can write fast and how you can deliver quality work at the same time. The one hard thing about writing online is trying to make clients happy while working quickly so you can make it worth your time. But you can use the websites where you choose to write (whether you are paid or not) to hone your skills, so you can write faster on those websites where you write for clients. You can also assess the interest in possibly setting up your own website writing only on the subjects you like.

Writing Clique

Join a local or online writing group or you can set up your own group or clique if you really want to improve your writing. Working in cooperation with others can be motivating and stimulating.

Writing for article sites can be a great way to make money and to learn new things. There are plenty of great websites out there that you can write for, or create your own site. Develop a system for yourself and you can work from home as a writer while making good money.

I like your style. All of what you said is true. Limited only to the writer's individual initiative and self motivation to do better and develop self confidence in his or her writing. :)

I keep trying to improve my writing. I try to avoid fluff, at the same time choosing words phrases that are colorful. I try to write simply. Not speaking down to the reader, but trying to make material perhaps a bit more difficult to understand into thoughts they can digest. And I try to find topics with a smidgen of the unexpected in them. In the past I joined writing critiquing sites and received some excellent tips.

I have myself joined a few writing sites: the good old persona paper, Virily where in both you get to write about what you want. I enjoy Virily a lot because on it, I write about my interest which is history prior to the 1900's.
I have also an account on Hire Writers and I writer where I have yet to write anything. The reason being is that what the clients on these two sites ask are mostly review type article and I am not familiar with more than half of what they want the review to be on. I have still not found my real niche as a writer even though I would enjoy writing online at all times. But that's life. You cannot get everything that you ask for.

Why not try writing review articles for some of the sites where you can write anything? Look at items in your house and review those or review history books? Getting practice and feedback and comparing your reviews with those that others write could help you develop that skill.
