TreeTuesday: Spruce Above Krivčevo Mountain Pasture
This scenic view photography over Krivčevo mountain pasture was taken while standing in a shade of a big spruce tree.
Behind the meadow, you can see two broad mountains with the peaks reaching over 2000 meters - Olševa in the center and Raduha to the right.

I should have stepped several meters backward to fully catch its branches.
We were here at the beginning of May to pick the dandelion. Since the height here is around 1400 meters above sea level the dandelion leaves are ripe for picking at least three weeks later than in the lowlands.
Ps: the salad was delicious. It is one of the highlights of the springtime to be able to pick your own healthy salad on a meadow while walking around in a beautiful scenery under a warm sun and in a mountain-fresh air.

What beautiful photographs. Picking your own salad in the wild! I have not tasted dandelion leaves. We have plenty around here. I might go out and pick some! Pardon my ignorance, which country are we in?

Hello and thanks for your comment. We live in Slovenia. It is quite common to pick the dandelion and other assorted grasses to augment our meals in the spring. Do visit us :)
