Texas Blue Bonnets are Everywhere and Spring has Sprung in Big D, Dallas Texas

Before mowing the yard there were bluebonnets all over the back yard. We forgot to take a photograph of the flowers all over the lawn and when I came across this pic for this particular article, I wanted everyone to see for themselves how nice they look.

It has been like that for me. Nature is full of wild things growing. At the moment, I have a bird bath out that serves more to keep the squirrels' thirst quenched. But I have seen Blue Jays, Robbin Red Breasts, Cardinals, Cooing Doves and a variety of miscellaneous birds come and go and take a moment to dive into my bird bath and peck a little around my little gardens, which I have planted garlic, onion and transplanted some figs from cuttings, that may or may not survive.

Recently I watched a YouTube video about how to take cuttings from fig trees and lining them up in a covered aluminum cake tray with a transparent plastic lid and layering potting medium over them and after about 2 months seeing them sprout new growth making them viable for transplanting as new trees. I might be able to plant a few of those around. My older brother told me he has a Pomegranate tree that he will give me some of the fruit form it later when they begin to fall from it and I intend to plant some seeds to get one growing in our back yard. I like the fig and Pomegranate tree because they are so tasty and remind me of the fruits that grew a long time ago, back in ancient times. Still good to eat in the 21st Century, without the aid of Monsanto!

I managed to get some jalapenos growing from seed . They took weeks to sprout in the house inside the egg cartons I am using as starter trays. I intend to keep them in pots on the front porch and try my best to keep the squirrels away from them by putting netting of some kind around them when jalapenos start to come out sometime in 3 to 4 months from now.

It has been difficult getting back to living after the influenza outbreak that made me and my wife very ill and made me hoarse for over a month. I finally can sing again. It seemed like a miracle. now I have a problem with talking too much again and have to keep quiet during my wife's soaps. While she watches the soaps I go to YouTube and watch the latest new uploads of interest to me. I have seen some very good tutorials for growing plants from cuttings and think they are a good thing to learn from.

I haven't seen any activity today or for that matter, well I only have myself to blame, If I don't write anything then nobody else will probably write much either, so I am trying to write here at persona paper because I want persona paper to grow and flourish like the veggies in my little back yard gardens.

Have a great week ahead everyone!

Yes, I have been out in the garden weeding for a couple of days. Lots to do but it's lovely in the garden at the minute. You are certainly doing your best to help PP flourish!

I enjoy writing and reading articles at this site. If only more people knew just how easy it is and fun.

But also useful. I was able to point someone to your Buster Brown post http://personapaper.com/article/47827-how-many-people-can-still-remember-buster-brown-shoes the other day, because they had an interest in Mary Jane shoes and had not known where the name came from. Those links you gave were very interesting.

I loved the exuberance of this piece. Well, until you had to go and say you could sing again! Would that be in the bathtub? Is it rated PG for purely grating (on the nerves)? Or do you have a melodious voice? The flowers in this photo are lovely. But the exuberance is lovelier. Keep it up. I have to look up cooking doves. I'm not certain if you meant that or cooing doves? Either way, sounds great! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha...

OMGosh. I really did that? I had to do quick edit on my post. Now you won't get the idea that I eat doves. :) As to my singing voice, well, at one time my wife said I sounded like Elvis, so I guess at one time I thought I did have a melodious voice. But now days, not so much. LOL
