BIPAP CHRONICLES OF A.P. DAVIS - Down The Rabbit Hole

Here lately I have been having more vivid dreams, since using my new CPAP/APAP/BIPAP machine for a sleeping disorder called Sleep Apnea, Mixed, with both OSA and CSA combined, listed as severe by the doctors at UTSW.

But last night was a doozy.

Talk about vivid dreams, I was chasing a very large rabbit, similar to the one in my title picture, and it was about as big as a pit bull. It just dug away into the back yard and ended up coming back out from another hole on the other side of the back yard.

Well, I was never able to catch the darn thing. So I decided to try to approach it from an analytical point of view and thought a little longer and came to the conclusion that last night's dream of an huge invader of the big eared kind was sparked by having seen a large dog in our back yard the morning of the day before. I had been in the kitchen, making green tea in the microwave oven when I looked out the back door kitchen window and saw a brown and black, rather large pit bull, wearing a collar, and rubbing it's nose in the dirt next to a boxwood I planted a couple years back.

So, I tapped on the window glass, trying to get the dog's attention and it completely ignored me, just as that huge rabbit in my dream last night. So, this is a sign that the new BIPAP machine is doing a good job of getting me into REM SLEEP thus, making it possible for me to have lots more of those crazy and lucid dreams!

End of story.

I'm really quite glad you are doing better, Anthony. And I'm having very vivid and MEMORABLE dreams as well. But never fail to recognize the sleep both you and I need is the deeper D-E-L-T-A sleep. That's what we need! REM is the lighter sleep, filled with dreams.

I am glad you are getting a better quality of sleep. Here's hoping it continues.

In that case, I certainly hope to achieve DELTA sleep. And last night's dream was another one I wish I had not had actually. Due to recent news reports of a house exploding in the Dallas area from an ATMOS gas leak that they are still trying to look for to find more potential problems in the area and forced home evacuations, I was dreaming last night of us all gathering things to take out of the house and get out before several explosive timers were placed inside the house by unknown persons and we were all warned that we had only about 20 minutes to get out of the house. I was doing my best to gather my computer and discs and place them in a vehicle. I need to stop watching the news for a time.

Thanks. The sinus problems that I have have overlapped with getting over flu. With the weather acting the way it has done, going down at night to temps near 39 and going up in the day to temps near 67 or so, can cause lots of green growth like weeds and grass and I am very allergic to those things. I really wonder if however, I had been using the CPAP machine, prior to the flu season outbreak this year if I might have avoided it altogether, but not using a CPAP machine for 4 or more months that happened along the flu season exposed me to more risks I assume.

Your dream sounds as bad or worse than my latest dream (See post).
