Remembering My Former Pastor

Earlier this month, I found out my former Pastor passed away.

He was born in 1926 & had a wonderful & full , he was always reaching out to anyone who needed anything.

He wasn't just a , he LIVED what he preached.

As I sit to write this, I'll admit I miss him very much.

I knew him for near literally my whole life, him & his wife were like grandparents to me in a sense.

I remember when I was growing up, his wife always had life savers candies for the children in our congregation.

I remember one time (after I was grown) Pastor invited me to go eat with him & we talked for a long time.

It's still one of my fondest memories of him to this day.

So he lived to a ripe old age.. I am sure you have fond memories that will last your life through. My wife knew a pastor of her church who was a very kind man who she admired from his sermons at her church. He was so effective that he managed to petition the city of Oak Cliff to become dry and free of alcohol sales back in the day, until only recently voters brought Oak Cliff back into becoming Wet and selling alcoholic beverages in grocery stores and such, much to my wife and my dissatisfaction.
