I'm a homeowner!

Ok the sale isn't completed yet, but my offer is accepted and my mortgage application almost complete so I'm virtually a homeowner!

It has been such a long time coming and you guys have always been so supportive of me so I wanted to come on here and share the news first.

We have just purchased a lovely two bedroom flat not a million miles away from where we currently live, and for a pretty good price too! It's only one floor up so no more dragging my shopping up three flights of stairs oh and there is a massive cupboard on the ground floor where I can put all the stuff that's too heavy to carry up and wait for the other half to get it later. Best of all there is a car park! I wont ever have to drive around for ages searching and hoping for a space I will need to squeeze my small, but not tiny car into!

All going straightforward at the final mortgage appointment on Wednesday and we should be ready to move in a few weeks!

Good for you! Is this the first rung on a ladder which leads to a house like Buckingham Palace? emoticon

oh I definitely don't want anything as big as that! Imagine trying to keep it clean! If I had my dream I would have an old disused farm so I could fill the space with rescue animals and keep a field for the other half's archery business. of course I would need to win the lotto so I could also retire and just spend my days with the animals

It is also slightly terrifying! Once Wednesday is over I am sure I will be less terrified and more excited I think

The only real estate I actually own is a metal shed full of old lawn tools, in the back yard. I mean, that and an old abandoned dog house.
